LOL Dove! Some people are having names Species of butterfly or favourite films, Or even different pictures of them and h2b's :D
CommentAuthoramybeeee
One of my friends had half the tables of 'legendary' footballers - for him and the other half old school actresses for her - hepburn, monroe, bacall etc. I quite liked that idea, although obviously I could probably live without the footballer bit! lol!!x
We're thinking of naming them after major cities in World of Warcraft since we're both great fans of the game, so will be such as Orgrimmar, Undercity, Stormwind, Silvermoon and the such... it may be that no-one else there has any idea what it's for, but we'll know :)
Now, finally, Mrs Riley
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words

ours are either places we have been on holiday or hotels in vegas
There are a few in our friends and family who would get it - my SIL used to play (and wants to convince my brother that she should start again :P), the best man is aware, my MOH knows bits of it, and about four or five of the other guests, so I'm sure by the end of the meal most people will have discovered the meaning behind the table names :P

i think we're having all our local beaches as we used to get up and go in the middle of the night and just walk along the beach for hours before we had our little baby boy :) xx
Can't wait to be Mrs Eastmond
Love my boys so much
CommentAuthorlovelylainee
I'm just numbering mine to keep it simple - can't be bothered to think about names when I have so much more important things to think about.
If I did have to name them years makes it quite hard. Would it not be easier to use maybe special places to you or holiday destinations the pair of you have been to? Something memorable if years for the number fo tables you are having is too difficult
Best of luck :) xxx
I married the love of my life 23/06/2012
Our little boys are so cute!
CommentAuthorMaggielou
we're using the most common songs that ppl put on their RSVP cards. These songs will be played later in the evening, and when your song comes on, your table has to dance.....this is the law, it will be enforced!!
CommentAuthorZoe Kay
lol@ maggielou :) love it ... were having names that match the winter theme of the wedding - but we've not decided what yet xx
CommentAuthorx~Hails~x
Our whole theme is roses, so i found a site that had romantic roses on and named the tables after them :-)

our daughter is called Seren which is welsh for star so we were thinking of using 'Star' in different languages as she is the most important thing in the world to us so want her to play a massive role in the day (she will be 2 1/2). obviously using Seren for the top table. this isn't a definate yet though

We're having names of the places we visited on our trip to America where we got engaged. So we have, Central Park, Strawberry Fields, Discovery Cove, Ocala, Coronado, Staten Island Ferry, Disney World, The White House, Universal Studios.
Central Park will be the top table as that is where he actually popped the question.
CommentAuthorGem1102
I want shows/musicals we've been to see or our favourite films maybe.
CommentAuthorMrs Hailstone 2 be
We're having places in Ireland as this is where we got engaged. A friend of mine went to a wedding and they had family members as each table name, then on each table there was a picture of the couple at their weddings, so one table was her grandparents another his etc. I thought this was really lovely. Although we have 10 tables so would struggle to have 10 couples to use. haha
CommentAuthorsam73
Ours is a christmas wedding so i have been thinking of naming them after the 12 days of xmas song so like - the doves and the goldern rings etc
CommentAuthorkateh3
think were having either pne football legends or golf courses have to let h2b have some input to make him feel included lol
CommentAuthorrebeccalou21
i really wanted something other than numbers for tables but just cant think of what, my h2b cousin had sweetie names and then a bowl of that sweet on the table, then they did a game where you had to get a mixture of all sweets on your table for an ice breaker and so everyone got the chance to meet each other x
CommentAuthorHunny Bunny
We're doing names of 'dog stadiums' it's one of the very few things I have relented on - to be fair his side of the family have been into greyhound racing 'forever' still thinking about what I can do to tie that in with something else!

We had Greek Gods & Goddesses... Eros, Adonis, Aphrodite, Zeus, Hera, Hestia & Dionysus (for the drunks!) and the children's table was "the children of Artemis" we put little explanations on each table it worked really well. My mates loved being on Dionysus - gave them even more reason to drink lol! x

So many great ideas! I don't even know how big the wedding will be, or how many tables we'll have... but I have thought of countries (or maybe cities...)
England (he's english, and it will be in england) Australia (I'm australian) Japan (where we first met, and lived for 3 years) Holland (his mums dutch) Philippines (our first holiday together) Thailand (our first holiday *alone*) USA (where I first met his parents)
etc...
We had to travel across the earth to find each other
We've never been apart since meeting almost 7years ago
And never will be!
I can't wait until he is my husband :D
CommentAuthorDee
were naming ours after the special songs in our life such as the one that was playing when we met, the one i had to listen to when my first was born and then my second etc.
CommentAuthorbtb2011
We were going to have Charlton Footballers so hubby had something he'd like but he has now suggested places we visited while travelling together.
CommentAuthorMrsEverton2b
we where thinking names of our favourite bands or we both love one poets of the fall, so we thought naming the tables after our favourite songs.for example, ours would be 'roses', we may have 'lift', 'gravity', 'illusion and dream', 'poet and the muse', 'fire', and such songs lol.
i do like everyones ideas, maybe not the warcraft one tho, that game nearly broke me and the h2b up! obsession isn't the best thing in a relationship. he got obsessed and i got punished for it. so i hate a hatred towards that game. but it is a nice idea if that is what you like!
CommentAuthorNHR115
This has been one of the most difficult things ever in our wedding planning. I wanted to have legendary scientists and engineers (i'm a scientist and H2B is an engineering student) but it sounded naff :( We're back to square one. We can't have numbers as I have family who will make squabble over being at a lower number than someone else. lol.
CommentAuthorMinniemoocher
Lol @ Dove!! I really like your idea hon - it's very personal; maybe you could theme it further and have a photo in the background of your table number. I'm having the 12 days of Christmas - got to find someone to draw the pics for me :) xx
CommentAuthorspooney24
I had names of places we had lived or worked in over the years and our top table was called "Port Elphinstone" after the area we live in together now. xx
26th December 2007 - the day I met my special man
8th August 2008 - the day he was mad enough to propose to me
24th July 2010 - the day I felt beautiful inside and out and
became Mrs Dickie for life. xx
