I don't know if this belongs in this category but I do kinda need help in someway or another... The question is...
How do I get my name changed after the wedding???
If anyone knows how then let me know! I'm confused! I've read in some wedding magazines on the wedding schedule planner that you can sort your new passport etc b4 the wedding but didn't think you could do it without a marriage certificate. Hmmmm. We're not going on honeymoon straight away so have the time to sort it and passports etc after the wedding.
Anyway, any help you can give me - I'd be very grateful.

I'm getting my passport done 3 months before as I really want to be Mrs Woolley. I got so excited when the confirmation came through and I had to look twice when it said Mrs Woolley lol.
I think the rest like your bank you need to show them a copy of the marriage cert etc but don't forget things like your doctors, dentist, blood donations, paypal, ebay and all the other things your forget about.
basically all u have to do is inform all the companies u have business with about change of name
banks/credit card companies store cards loyalty cards employer DVLA passport NHS/Doctor Surgery Dentist mobile phone provider bills etc if they are in ur name
the likes of banks /credit card companies will need a copy of marriage certificate...otherwise just a letter to say you've changed ur name from ____ to _____

i really wanted my passport in my married name for the honeeymoon but h2b booked it in my maiden name as the travel agent said that we better. i can not tell you how annoyed i was!! i think you just have to show your wedding certificate to everyone like doctors, dentist and bank etc xx

Does your name change automatically or do you have to change it by deed poll?

No deed poll required if you are taking your husband's name, only if you are double barrelled. If you google uk deed poll they have all the relevant information on the website for what to do when getting married
