    Hi Girlies,

As you well know from my previous thread, I am having a willy wonka themed sweet buffett, so all sweeties are going to be unusual and out there :) My h2b has had the idea of putting the post box near the sweet buffett table and having that within the willy wonka theme.

His idea is to make a big oompa loompa figure, and have his mouth open and have him hollow, but I dont think this is quite as practicle and would be quite difficult to make, in my opinion.

    Any other ideas?

    xxxx

An unmpa loompa sounds ace but I agree a little difficult unless you papermachee and varnish!

How about a big chocolate bar, or the boat that rides down the chocolate river then you can pop it in the centre with a brown table cloth as the base of your sweety table!!

    xx

How fab!!! This is such a fab idea and a big oompa loompa would be great although yes i agree it does sound challenging to make. I think either the hat or a large block of chocolate on it's end with the wrapper torn off the top and a glimpse of the golden ticket maybe.....The standard post boxes you can buy would be ideal for this. All you will need to do is decorate it.

Wee minty, I was going from the actual book that Roald Dahl wrote which all the films were made from, he disowned the 1st film as they kept changing things, the Johnny Depp one is more accurate! lol loved the book xx

Do you think it works out cheapest making your own sweetie table, or hiring?

I've bought various jars, got 11 up to now and they cost £18, just gotta get a few vases and glass dishes which i will hunt around for and the sweeties. I got the jars from 'B'rownie & 'M'uffin.....'H'enry & 'B'ertie and 'T'ea 'J'am's....hope that don't get edited....lol
