Well having had a fab long weekend away at the beach we did a lot of talking and after everything we have decided on the following: We would both really like the dream venue (as per my previous post) but after calculating costs we have decided that we can not justify the amount it would cost. We are trying to save for a house and that means more to us than a wedding (sorry if people disagree with that). sooooooo............ We are booking a fab hotel on Lake Windamere for just the 2 of us, having the night up there before the big day to chill out and relax. The hotel will help me book hairdressers and photographer and then after the ceremony we are going on a private cruise on the lake before heading back to the hotel for a private meal. When we get back we are having an afternoon tea party with close family and friends where i will wear my dress again and my 2 sons will wear suits and my mums friend will take some photos. We will then go back to the farm for a trash the dress shoot. That way we can cut back on costs and the boys are still involved. we havent decided on a definate date yet as i need to speak to the hotel and place we want the tea party but i'm now STUPIDLY excited as we have FINALLY decided on something. Needless to say MIL2B has something to say about this but h2b has told her its our day and either like it or lump it! Sounds harsh but i'm fed up of trying to please her.

Sounds perfect! We considered doing something similar, but we are both quite close to our families and by the time we started looking at them coming too, it was starting to get as expensive as it would be to do it at our chosen venue xx

Thank you all x Mrs mann 2b no the wedding co-ordinator and the hotels manager are stepping in for us. I've been looking at all the hotels on the Lake and although i think were sure of the one we want we're going up for 2 night in november before booking just to make sure.x

Aw yay im so happy you've been able to decide and settle for what sounds like its going to be an amazing time :) get the best of everything AND get to wear your dress twice!! MIL2B wil have to leave it or lump it im afraid, its yours and your OH's special day and you will do what you want and thats that!
