For a little bit of background, as on my previous threads my FMIL is a little bit over bearing.
Being a little bit gothy, I got "You're not going to wear a pear of Doc Martins on the wedding day are you?!" - Well I've never owned a pair (Perhaps she was thinking of my New Rocks..). But needless the say the comment stuck and it's had me in giggles.
So I was trying to wind OH up and going through every single pair of New Rocks with the general "I could have this pair! Or that pair! Your mum would LOVE these!"
Well. I stumbled a pair of shoes I actually really like. So through FMIL over reacting and assuming I'd wear something I've never had - I've actually found my dream pair of shoes!
They were classed as 'custom made' and would take approx 45 working days. I was devastated. But anyway I put my order in on 8th January, to unexpectedly get an email Thursday gone to say that my shoes had been dispatched. Chuffed isn't the word!
I've put the stock photo in my album for the pair of shoes I have bought, as I'll be wearing a lot of black and white on the day so thought they'd go well (and give me a much needed boost as I'm only 5'1"!)
I absolutely adore these shoes, and I get to take them with me to pick my dress on Valentines day which I'm super pleased about! (and as a plus side, I'll definately wear these bad boys again! ;) )
I'll post some photos hopefully tomorrow of my actual shoes instead of the stock photo :)

I think its great when you can use them again I have bought hot pink stilettos and my MOH was shocked I hadn't gone for ivory but I will wear them again good for you for going with what you want x

You should thank your MIL for helping you choose your shoes. She would love that! Very cool, though! I am intrigued by your black and white outfit :)

@Sonya - I'm actually dying to wear them! I really don't get excited over shoes and these have me bouncing!
@LauraK7 & Missweedles - I'm glad I'm not the only one who's gone out a bit for their shoes! They're suprisingly not that bad to walk in :) the heel itself isn't so bad because of the front being platformed (I have fallen arches and heels wreck me, but the practices I've had walking in them so far, I feel absolutely fine!)
@Lana - Thank you :) they are pretty intense in reality - the heel and platform are metal so I techincally get a workout wearing them too! haha
@Marrying.Ryan - I might say that come the wedding day, I'm keeping them secret until the last minute ;) The dress I'm (hopefully) getting is Alfred Angelo 1612 with black trim. We went to the "Goth wedding fair" that was in Newcastle a few months back and there was a lady who made a beautiful boquet which I'm dying to get, it was like black roses but had itty bitty little white skulls dotted throughout it! My (new) engagement ring has a black diamond in it (thank you, Wowcher!). I was allergic to my original. My necklace my OH bought me for xmas a few years back and is the evenstar pendant from LoTR. So a lot of black & silver/white going on!
@BethanyS & LauraF89 - It makes me glad when people say this! :D I love my shoes but obviously they are not everyones taste, but I feel a lot more normal knowing others like them too :D
Oh and Natalie... his name is Daxter. (Dax for short!) He's a typical beagle, and a pain in the bum! But we love him. He's the one reason we're dreading the wedding, as he'll be in kennels while we are away. Poor little pooch! We'll miss him but it'll make coming back home all the more special!
