I've found the ring I want in hs@muel$ and it's only £179!! My engagement ring cost nearly £2000 so we don't really want to spend over the odds on wedding rings. I didn't know h2b was buying me an engagement ring that was so expensive.

Just spoke to our friends mum who is making our wedding cake and she's making it our wedding present so we haven't got to pay anything

Good news on the cake. I love those dresses. I would have considered something like that, but my bridesmaids were all too self-conscious.

Our friend who is doing our wedding photos was at the christening we went to yesterday so we asked if everything was still ok for him to do it. He said don't worry it's all booked and just to look and write down which main photos we'd like for him to take on the day. He's going to come round this time next year and bring his albums that he has done at previous weddings so that's another thing ticked off the list as done yay. Had an email this morning to say the bridesmaid dresses have been dispatched so I'm hoping they all like them and that's another job done. Waiting for a reply from a wedding car place to see if we can go and have a look at the one we like. They said they've got one out of the two available on our date (3 people we've tried and they've said the cars are already booked ) also found a local make up artist that is £15 cheaper than other places that have quoted. She uses silicone based airbrush foundation so it stays on all day so hoping we get a reply this week x

A make up artist popped up on my FB last night.. she does the bride's make up on the day for £50 and anyone else (bridesmaids, MOB etc.) for £30.. trial is £25. I have no idea how make up prices compare... does that sound like a good kind of deal?! x

Flossie found my bridesmaid dresses for me on li££le mi$tre$$ :-) love them. The make up artist I have found is £25 on the day and £10 trial and £20 for anyone else that wants it doing. Hoping she replies soon as think it's quite cheap. Previous quotes I've had are £60 for day and £40 trial which is ridiculous and another was £25 for day and £25 trial. £50 for the day without a trial is a bit pricey Flossie but I think it depends on which make up and brand they use x

She does offer a trial first at £25.. I would definitely have a trial first! Probably won't even go with her but I haven't researched make up artists yet so wondered how her prices compared.. will have to put her on a short list and speak to her in more detail nearer the time!! x

I'm assuming he probably will as well, as he we're very rarely apart at night and when we are he usually sends a text or two

I got it from n0t 0n th3 h1gh str33t. £18.99 I think it was with free delivery :) I typed groom box into g00gle and it was the first one to come up :) so exciting to start buying little things. I saw a card the other day that said to my husband to be on our wedding day so might get one of those and put it in there too :) x

Eeee exciting buying little bits and bobs! I am itching to start buying things like this but know I need to wait a few months until my finances settle down. I think I'll have to shove OH's grooms box at the back of the wardrobe.. can't see him rummaging through my clothes and finding it (be worried if he was haha).

I'm not sure about the whole contact thing.. we won't be together but I don't know if I'd be able to not talk to OH for a whole night. For starters I'm a massive worrier and I'd want to know he was okay and not likely to be in any sort of trouble ready for the big day lol. I reckon I'd probably text him, and in the morning just to check he's ok - or maybe just get one of the girls to text him instead actually x

I passed messages to my husband via his best man on the morning, and he contacted me via my MOH.
