i didnt think I was that bothered about not having confetti - but now thinking about it I really really would love confetti - but we arent allowed!!

is there anything anyone can think of that can be an alternative to confetti that most venues allow.

you see I thought bubbles but then i dont want anyone getting staines on their clothes and getting annoyed with us. Im saying this mostly because I am rubbish at blowing bubbles and always end up with half the soap in my mouth, all down my chin and on my hands - and yes before you point it out i KNOW youre not supposed to get it in your mouth! lol! im just silly!

I thought petals were considered confetti and that they wouldnt allow it - maybe i need to ask!!

And I hadnt heard of biodegradable ones.

I will investigate - thanks girls!!

Most confetti these days is biodegradable so it sounds more like your venue just doesn't want to go and sweep up afterwards so maybe they wouldn't let you have anything.

Personally I would just throw it lol. What are they going to do once it has been done? You can't stop your guests if they so happen to have done it. Its not like it is going to damage anything and if the worst comes to the worst you get a sweeping brush.

Were not allowed confetti, bubbles or Rose petals super strict venue.... So I'm gonna have the kids throw silk petals before I walk down the aisle and then were having flags that I'm making so people can wave these instead of throwing confetti

half the time its because they dont want to go round and sweep it all up, what makes me cross though its meant to be the most perfect day, most venues cause problems and dont let you do what you want.

I have to admit I also think they are being lazy. My venue is fab and said I can have as much as I like where ever I like as long as it is biodegradable but they sweep the most of it up anyway. Its about time more of them realised that you are paying for a service and doing them a favour not the other way around and they need to actually give you the service you pay for.

My venue are only allowing freeze dried rose petals - because they are biodegradeable and we are only allowed to use them in a certain area! Check it out - it might just be the plastic stuff they don't like.

I would get £500 fine if guests throw any kind of confetti bubbles rice or Rose petals....they say and I quote " due to livestock" meaning sheep that are kept in the grounds..... Even thou the sheep are half a mile from the house!!!!!

I reckon it's because they are lazy and can't be bothered getting one of them outside vaccums to clean it up!!!

Safe to say on the wedding website to go out with the invites iv stated no confetti... I don't want a £500. Surprise when I get back off honeymoon

We've been told we aren't allowed those chinese lanterns because of the deer, there is a deer field right at the side of the mansion and they'd get scared lol BUT my venue hold the famous Bristol Balloon Fiesta every year and there's a massive firework display in the next field to the deer!

Gobsmacked that they're even saying no to bubbles crocadillo, that's madness! I feel very lucky that our vicar has turned round and told us that we can have whatever we want, and if the church council (or whoever they are!) complain then he will take the stick for it lol

Bubbles and the art work.... Apparently they have had an accident a few years ago with a child and bubbles and had to restore a picture and it cost 30k so now have a blanket ban on bubbles..... And fun... Same as a chocolate fountain, and why my ice cream cart I was thinking about would have to go outside!!!

What does my nut in ... Is it's suppose to be a wedding venue not a museam... And only now are we finding this all out after the contracts have been signed and I went to the tasting and run through the day!!

All the rules....the fact that we HAVE to use their chair covers at a cost of £4.00 each with out a bow and £2 for a bow... Is to name just a few of my comments for a review site...
