I have been married a whole week! After all the stressing and preparing, the day went so amazingly well. I agreed with the venue that we would make a decision on whether there was to be a ceremony inside or out. I opened the curtains at 7am and whilst the ground was wet, the clouds were already breaking to show clear skies so we decided outside! From then it went so smooth. A beautiful ceremoney and a really relaxed reception, breakfast and evening. With the sun so hot, people were sat on the lounge areas that surrounded the whole of the venue relaxing whilst the children played on the fields and bouncy castle behind the seating areas. I even got on the bouncy castle myself! It was all so amazing. My only problem was that a friend left very early, like right after the meal. I wouldnt mind but I knew she was staying in the city overnight so had no need to rush off home. She also made me invite her boyfirend to the day (saying she wouldnt come otherwise)when he was on the eveing list only as i dont like him. so after i did this for her, and forgave the fact that she rang to say she couldnt come to my hen 5 MINUTES before it started, she leaves after the bloody food! We have been friends for 20 years and i do feel rather sad about it although i didnt let it ruin my day. I want to thank all you ladies for your advice. It has been an incredible year! Oh and I got a promotion at work yesterday. Makes the week even better!

YAY! Glad everything went really well for your wedding day. Congratulations! Shame your friend left right after the meal. I would be very unhappy about that as paying out for them to eat I would have expected them to stay and be there for the whole thing.

Congratulations, glad everything went well, except for the friend leaving early but good on you for not letting her ruin your day, I do agree with you I would have been annoyed as well, especially after she made you invite her partner to the whole thing. Extremely rude.
