Sorry for being random but I just had to share these with someone who'll understand girly things. Yesterday I had such a lovely day with my h2b's mum, it may sounds simple but it meant so much to me. My mum has been ill for half of my life and although I don't mind looking after her and enjoy spending time with her our roles are kind of reversed so we don't have very many 'mother-daughter moments'. She has also never been a person to wear make up so I kind of had to teach myself and although I'm ok at it I've always been nervous about going to make up counters etc. Yesterday my h2b's mum took me to a Clarins counter and persuaded me to talk to them about make up for the wedding and they did my make up for me and taught me a lot. It felt so nice to be able to do the kind of thing mothers and daughters do! Such a little thing that made such a big difference (she bought me some make up too!). She has two son's so I guess she enjoyed being able to do girly things as well!
