Supposed to jet off to Portugal today for my hen week but it's been cancelled due to the volcanic ash so I'm still here to annoy you guys :-) still a bit gutted but hey ho nothing I can do about it just raging cause my wedding co-ordinator had pencilled me into meet with her today and I had to change it because I was going away and now I'm not so I could have met her but it's been put back to 10th May!!! Going to try and phone her see if she is still available to meet today and hopefully she is :-) xx

Just need to wait and see what happens but it's not the end of the world there are people a lot worse off than me!!! At least I still have wedding to look forward to and I have a gorgeous man who loves me to bits!!! :-) just means i have more time on here lol xx

He just keeps asking why he can't go his holiday it's such a wee shame :-( his mum told him that the plane was broken so he just keeps telling you now that he can't go his holiday cause the big plane isn't working!!! xx

I know at least we understand but how can you get a 3yr old to understand!! We will get the money for our flights back if we cancel but not for the hotel etc because it is an act of god!! We are going to try and transfer to another date so we shall see what happens!!!xx

They don't have any flights until Tuesday but their are no seats available!!! Managed to get flights changed to 11th May just having a nightmare now trying to get through to the holiday company to change the hotel and transfers been on the phone all morning will be costing us a fortune!!! xx

We just had a text from my aunt who was supposed to be flying from Vancouver to Amsterdam, then Edinburgh today.
She has been put on a flight for wed flying Vancouver-MINNEAPOLIS (overnight)-Amsterdam arriving there Friday morning. Nothing from Amsterdam to Edinburgh yet. She was supposed to be in work on Monday.

Thats ridiculous it's so bad hope she gets home soon!! We have ended up changing our holiday to 11th May but has cost us another £70 each as had to book hotel and transfers again as holiday company won't just transfer the dates due to it being an act of god it's 100% loss so we lost the £219 we had originally paid for the hotel and transfers but if we didn't pay the £70 each we would have lost the whole lot which is over £900 :-( Was listening to the news earlier and they were saying that soldiers due home have been stranded in Afghanistan I feel really really bad for them at least I'm sitting here in the comfort of my home with everyone I love around me it just goes to show their is always someone worse off than yourself!!! xx

Thats shame u never got Joolsy but at least u got it all changed over. Our friends are stuck in Amsterdam and dont kno when they will get home. Again as it is an act of god the airlines are not suppliying hotels so they have had to pay for this themselves xx

I know ginge it's a complete nightmare!! If we don't get away on the 11th May then we will all have lost £150 each as we will get a refund for the flight but again not the hotel and transfers and i'm not paying anymore out lol we 1st booked this holiday with flyglobespan who went bust rebooked for this to happen so in may it will be 3rd time lucky!!! But there are people who have lost thousands of pounds saw one couple in the news this morning who were supposed to be flying off on their honeymoon and it's been cancelled so they have lost a fortune it's such a shame and I can't really afford to loose the money either what with being made redundant but I know i'm a lot more fortunate than some ppl xx
