Back in July feelers were put out as to who would be interested in going to Butlins for weekend next October. 18 people were interested. End September my friend sent out further messages to say that 'cos of early bird discount and helping people budget wanted final numbers end October 2010 with a view to book / deposits paid November.
Many of the original 18 were H2B's friends wags.
2 of this group had confirmed in September that they were definitely going, with another 8 as probably going. To my face they are telling me they want to go. it'll be fun etc. not so behind my back.
They all went out weekend before last and discussed it and yesterday (the deadline) decided to tell us that the 8 probably's aren't going but also 1 of the definite s has pulled out. (I got in touch with the other one to let her know the situation and she is still definitely going and paying deposit)
A message via H2B is that they might want to come closer to the time. The excuse is that it's too early and they don't know what they'll be doing on that date. I know one thing you won't be doing - coming on my blo0dy hen weekend!
It looks like the others decided 2 weeks ago on their night out that they weren't going but when we met up with them didn't mention it. I'm really annoyed as the first people to confirm in September are still going and if we'd know this last week, we could have got 25% off and then a further £20 off.
People are soooo annoying!

how annoying they could have had the decency to let you know as soon as they decided and not wait for you to get in touch asking how rude can people get as well as hurting your feelings. hope you and your close friends have a great time xxx

Some people came straight out and told me that they wouldn't be able to go for whatever reason. That's fine. These others have hummed and hawed about it, saying they are coming to my face and then last minute saying no but not one of them has said anything or directly sent me a message / text whatever. Butlins is my main do but I was going to have a drinks and meal out do as well as an afternoon tea party. This lot will NOT be invited to those.

I know you get discount etc hun, but I wouldnt book to go on someones hen do a year in advance, cos I just dont know whats gonna be happening (didnt even book my wedding that far in advance lol)
Maybe thats all it is, nothing to do with them not liking you

We went with the girls that had confirmed and have a nice little group, added to that one of my male friends and his mates go to the 80's weekends quite a bit and they are booking the same weekend so that should be a laugh. We have got a great deal on the chalet and because there's not a huge group it means that our travel down there will be a lot cheaper.
I know what this lot are like. They are a bit sheepy and once one decided she wasn't going the rest just followed. Only one of them has sent me a message to tell me they aren't going and why.
