My fiance always wears a (flat peak) baseball cap at all times. This is his trademark look. He wants to wear one of his hats on our wedding day wit his suit... I have no problem with this as I know how much he loves them (and plus he looks Damn fiiine in them ;P ), and I have found one that is especially designed for weddings, online. But my problem is that most of my (older) relatives find this idea quite strange and shocking, and they would consider it disrespectful if he wore it... how do I keep them all happy, but still have the wedding that me and my partner want.?

Simple answer .....you don't I'm afraid hunni!
No matter what someone is not going to like something about our weddings so just do what you and your h2b want!
It's your day after all so do what is right for you two because trying to please everyone just isn't going to work!

My honest opinion is you keep you and h2b happy and not worry about how guests may feel about what you choose to wear.

When we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours
we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying
weirdness and call it love, true love.

you could maybe turn the whole day into a hat/fasinator compulsory day and have a prize for the weirdest biggest one ....just to add a bit of fun to the day so everyone is wearing one not just h2b??

My think is that your guests my find it shocking and strange but this is both of your wedding then let him wear it. You have no problem with it and I'm sure that opinion only really matters to him so stop streesing and let him wear it. I think that there isn't much else to discuss. If that big a problem to you make a part of the wedding cake the hat or something along those lines instead. x

If he wears it at all times - he will feel way too strange without it - and as you have no problem with it - who else matters?
(Etiquette would be all males to remove hats on entering a church so you may consider that - or not )

You can't please everyone; it is your and your h2b's day so if he wants to wear a hat then he should wear a hat. :)

If you're having a church wedding, the vicar might make you remove it, but I int see what the problem is xx
