after looking at venues a while back, and, with their 2012 price list, we'd worked out a rough estimate of around £6k.
now after filling in booking form and asking for an invoice at their 2013 prices - I received an email. The only thing it doesn't include is champagne for a toast, which is now seperate (and £7.50 a glass!!!!).. The invoice was for... wait for it... drum roll.... £4,900....
my gast is totally flabbered. Even catering in the champagne (I wonder if they'd let us bring out own and charge corkage, which would still be cheaper I reckons)... that's under budget..

Dont question it just agree and sign on the dotted line, if they've made a mistake then woohoo to you, if its accurate, then woohoo to you lol!
we're allowed to take our own champers, ours is roughly the same per glass and people can sod off if they think im paying that much haha

am thinking, on advice of venue, they cater for about 70% of the evening guests for a buffet - especially as most have eaten a 3 course meal so won't be starving. We've provisionally booked for 8 items (rolls plus 7 others which include all kinds of things) plus there's the cake too... is that enough or should we go up a bit and go for 10 items (rolls plus 9 others) - venue said if you cater for the whole 100 there will be loads left over.
Am going to sign the agreement and email it over to them for Monday - they'll hold it for 3 weeks anyhoo and I only did it yesterday.
This means... of course.. that the diamond wedding ring I was looking at earlier is in budget :)... plus jeweller's will give a discount as got engagement ring from there... plus I saw another ring I liked at a different jeweller and mentioned that and they'll undercut them and give a discount.. whoopdididdlydoo :) ;) ;)
