I really wanted a pair of crystal covered heels for our wedding day but the prices online were silly so ...

I bought myself a pair of plain nude coloured shoes from new look and attemped tocover them myself in rhinestone crystals!

If you check out my album ive added photos of the finished result! Took me 12hrs to do ONE shoe! Speeded up abit on the 2nd now ive got the hang of it!

It proberly would of looked slightly better if had a white or silver shoe but not bad for my first go i think!

    What do you ladies think????????

On my god i LOVE THEM, i was talking on here the end o last year about wanting shoes just like this!
I am not very crafty, are they easy to do or a bit tricky?
I agree prices on the bay are ridiculous!
Oh my giddy aunt, I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to cover my wedding shoes in pink gems now!

Janie - Thankyou :D ermm theyre quite tricky i got a gem setter which is like a plastic stick with a sticky ball at one end to pick the gem up with and a pointy bit the other end to move it into place this made it slightly easier it just takes forever!
I just got some hot pink crystals today to do another pair of shoes :D x

witt woo They are gorgeous! To be honest I thought you had bought them that's how good they are. I've just ordered a champagne pair of shoes to do a similar thing but not all over just the front where there is a knot design, the heels are already done so shouldn't be too hard. I would defo buy cheap shoes for £9.99 and glam them up and sell. I would buy a pair x x

they look fab, I think I quite like them as nude underneath, it makes the shoes mostly silver sparkle with a hint of gold underneath from the pictures! Very Glam. Thats why rhinestone covered shoes are so expensive though, its the cost overing for the time it takes to put each stone on, and making sure they stay in place.

    well done you!

The problem with gemtac is it can come loose after a few wears, that's why paying for them to be done is a good idea as they last a lot longer and don't ping off with the correct applicators. I know a company that are really great prices if anyone wants the link x
