oh bless you - that's awful. Perhaps it's because it's silver - I know I've couple of silver rings that are seriously bent out of shape.. I do hope you get it fixed though x

I would get a platinum or palladium band if I were you.. White gold is actully just dipped silver.. The colour can come off leaving just gold.. Plus platinum and palladium are so much stronger than white gold and silver..

I was surprised when I read the post that it snapped clean in half. They are made for every day wear. For many years of everyday wear. Maybe there was a small fault in the metal. Don't worry they resize all the time the process shouldnt be much diferent so they should be able to sort it.

Mines white gold but isn't dipped silver...otherwise it's not white gold? Mines yellow gold dipped white...

There saying they can fix it melt some of the band off add two joints to the ring which will make it weaken and they cannot guarantee it will last he mentioned it could be joined at the head take off the emeralds and re set it in the bad somehow but it will cost a small fortune and I don't want to change the ring I Love that Ring What to do??

Cannot retire the ring I'm going to get it repaired see how long its lasts and if it does break again hopefully it wont then I will think about getting it changed turned into a new ring with my emeralds on the original ring set into the new ring really do not want to as I Love that ring that my H2B choose for me we both Love the ring it is perfect for mean I cannot part with it

Rings are designed for everyday wear... However, if they're in and out of water and cleaning soulutions and such like it can weaken it, which is why I never wear mine in the bath or shower or to clean I don't even wear mine in bed. My aunts had her centre stone fall out of her ring so had it reset into a pendent, and the gold made into her wedding band, tis an option you can think about.

id have a think about it really, if you get it repaired and it weakens it because you love it and cant part with it - you'll be even more devastated if it breaks again and you're not lucky enough to find it, or it becomes irreparable.

Like stacey says, you need a ring to last forever, not a few months. By the sounds of it you're going to ahve to replace it eventually anyway.

Maybe you could use it in your bouquet or something, if you are having fake flowers, or incorporate it into some kind of decor that you will be keeping, your guest book or something. Or have the stones removed and make a whole new ring as close to the one that you already have as possible

The only thing that's going to happen here is it's going to break again and look even worse than it already does (at least you can then still use it for something else decor/brooch/part of a bracelet/necklace) or it's goign to be lost forever

I know your going October but even when you were doing the letter to the Eden project you mentioned coach prices are high. They will be High during term time especially to the Eden project it's well know and a big thing.
I wasn't being b****y I was just saying, you don't want to be repairing the ring Hun when it will cost more to you in the Long run especially when yiur wanting this big wedding which doesn't come cheap at all.
I would seriously re think, yes get the ring repaired now, and then I would put it on to a necklace maybe? Or like Velcro said incorporate it into the wedding.

Officially MrsMann is Palladium really expensive yes i know its very durable I was thinking White gold as its similar to silver as all my jewellery silver I guess I'm still waiting on a reply back to see what he says or what he suggests. And Stacey I think I will start taking it off when washing my hands bathing showering trust my ring ue to its shape to weaken the ring but We fallen in Love with the ring since we've seen and as you said Stacey the ring is apart of me its a part of my hand my heart =D ♥ X

Just as an example hun, I had a silver ring repaired when it broke at the shank. The repair cost me more than the ring did and it only held up for three months.
I think what everyone is saying is, why risk getting it repaired and wearing it on your hand when the jeweller's told you it probably won't hold, next time you could be walking down the road when it breaks and then it's gone for good. xx

The repairs not costing me more than my ring that id why i also want to repair it as if my repairs was more than my ring then I would'nt get it repaired I just want to get it repaired for now as I cannot go around without my ring but I am deffo thinking of getting the emeralds set in a new band will be better I understand what you all are saying but I just want to give it one last go hopefully if it does break I will be at home and I will be able to find the parts as you ladies are saying I could loose it when I'm out and never get it back I think this is a very delicate situation as Its my e-ring not just any ring so I at least want it to be repaired last me till I have finished Uni and hopefully have a job lined up then get new ring made up that H2B approves of and he likes as he choose me the ring he has good taste It has to suit the both of us =D ♥ X

Will be sending my ring of tomorrow with royal mail special delivery will need to fill out a their repair form and send it off decide how I wanna pay if they need to do anything extra they will either call me before they fix the ring or after before I pay decided to just get my ring put back together and if it breaks my heart again b breaking then I will have to get the ring made in palladium as its a stronger denser metal that shouldn't break I want the same shape leafy ring I do not want another ring or unless I see another ring close to my ring then may get that made instead but I am so naked without the ring It feels wrong I feel empty heart broken without my ring cannot wait to send it back hopefully receive it back within the week also now my necklace emerald has fallen out of the frame and wont go back in so I cannot wear my necklace incase I loose my heart emerald stone Everything is just getting worse for me atm now wondering what next things always happen in 3 an thats 2 feel like crying all the time

Palladium has the same qualities as platinum hun, just alot less expensive ! My engagement ring is platinum but going to see how much of a difference palladium is colour wise as the same ring in palladium is £250 cheaper than the platinum one !
H2B is having palladium cause he needs the strength and scratch resistence in it with the job he does..
