aw well babe you can still get the exact one you want because you have told her about your ideas so many times. It is annoying when people do that but I do think you never know what dress you're gonna get til you get to the shop and try them on. And you're wedding will be totally different to hers and you'll still look super in your princess dress even if she has one too x

You know i never thought about that, about trying them on and changing your mind, which is strange coz i know i will pro not get a princess dress as it wont look good on my body, and to be fair none of her guest are my guests.... expect a few that will only be at my reception, like her and her mum!

Exactly right jellytot, she has just copied you jenna, so i wouldn't worry, it may be the style of dress you want, but there are still so many different dresses that you will look different and they look different on everyone, so you will still look individual and amazing on your day! But embrace the bridezilla in you, lol, there are not many times that we can get away with it!! :) x

I think most ppl have an idea in mind before they go dress shopping but while there they fall in love with a dress that is NOTHING like they thought they wanted. I know a few girls on here have done that. Its just unfortuante and a litle annoying that its the same style you showed her you liked but like jellytot said take it as a compliment, after all it shows you have good taste :-) and remember your dress is going to be just as perfect for you as hers is for her.

I didn't even like my dress on the hanger, thought it was too fussy, but when i tried it on it blew even me away, lol. And although she has picked the same style it is all in the little details that can make them soooo different. Try all styles on, you may be surprised! :) x

I wanted plain and simple, no beading or embroidery.....ended up with one completely covered in beading and embroidery!!I think it happens a lot, you go to a shop with an idea, try some dresses on and find you actually want something totally different. Take it as a compliment and head out dress hunting yourself!! Its so much fun!!

it is fun Rebecca is right. and you can do it over and over taking different people each time to end up with just the right dress. I have brought my dress but im still going to a couple more shops 'just in case' i find another i like more.

I bet you find it by accident too! I went all over the place with my mum, then one day popped into a shop to have a nose at BM dresses, totally on my own. Found an AMAZING dress, text a photo to my mum and sister and bought it there and then!

I was going to go for a simple dress too, straight down, no dazzle, easy to put on, easy to take off, easy to dance in... guess what.... now got a Maggie Sottero dress which is the complete opposite to all those things!

I was definitley having a Grecian style dress until I went shopping, but as the other ladies said, take it as a compliment. Keep shopping around and when you do find your dress you won't care if she 'nicked' your original idea or not xxx

My sister went and actually purposely got a dress that she thought would be the style i'd go for... (it's pink and it's all princessy) but her's is just a second hand prom dress... I am now getting an Ivory/ Champagne coloured maggie sottero ambrosia.. completely different to what everyone will expect from me! :) xx
