You wont get what the other brides who went to the wedding fayre got hun, that's not how it works! Any freebies would have been for the ones who were there in person, and the leaflets would have come directly from the suppliers so they wouldn't have any of them. I also agree about not mentioning about the cost to get down there, they dont want to know that, they want to believe you have a bottomless pit of money that you can spend with them. I also agree that they wont sort out a trip and accomodation for you. You could ask them for any nearby hotels that they recommend but all they will do is book you in an appointment with them to go and have a look around and talk to them. This is probably why they haven't replied to your email hun as you don't actually ask them to do anything that they can do xxx

Yeh sounds good, :) short and sweet but that's the best way to go...
The only airport now down Cornwall is Newquay but I know they limited a few of their flights, once you have a date booked, it's best to go check out prices of coaches and trains as that would be your best bet, and your other half will have to get over the fear of public transport or learn to drive between now and then :)

Got replys today hopefully will have a meeting Monday 28th October 2013 or The year after they will show me round the rainforest biome and make a specialised wedding plan just for H2B and I will not know prices yet as they dunnoe what they will be charging in 2016 but I cannot wait to book our stay up in Cornwall the appointment will be at 11am H2B does not get time off in October and I may be working by then but hes going to have to miss Uni and me will have to book a couple of days of work mother in law to be should be on October half term so hopefully will be all systems go

I cannot have a acrylic ink stamp as my design is to complicated and the design is not in black and white :( Now thinking of having 2 badges one with Mr & Mrs Deaton 2nd Wedding Logo unless put it together = a Big Badge like the Birthday Badges which I think will be to big maybe I could attach the badges to the personalized napkins so they do not have to pin the badges on their clothing what you ladies think?? Forgot to say going to buy a Mr and Mrs Sign and paint it in our wedding colours am thinking of maybe painting it in glow i the dark paint just to make it different and glow when we have the lights off =D ♥ X

Are you on about a wedding website that you can put all your info on ? I have one and it was so easy and simple and people can upload the pics after the wedding and you can either sign up for more features which you get the DVD free or just buy a DVD from the site which as full res images that everyone has uploaded ! Prob best to get your dress sorted near where you are now hun because of fittings etc. We're getting married 2 and half hours away from where we live so getting the cake up there but sorting my dress down here! We're doing same as you, gona book a weekend trip up there and make loads of meetings for the cake and the hair and makeup etc and just bam everything in one go haha xx hard work this distance planning isn't it! xx ooo you'll need a local photographer, don't forget to make meetings with a few of them when you're down there too! xx

True about the Dress fittings but this lady charges less and where I was originally going to go my dress would cost £1,600 and I could get it for £800 maybe I need to do a Dress Maker search near me and getting cake appointments when I go up to visit my venue and will be meeting with one of the wedding decorators that has done loads of weddings at the Eden Project on the day to get quotes Deffo is hard planning a Distance Wedding Nicole and my photographer is willing to travel up their and we are willing to pay the travel fees as we really like him Thinking I'm going to have to book another trip up their for my hair and make up trial nearer the time as it will be hard for trails when I live a good 5 hrs away and I do not drive =D ♥ X

we are just having a 1 tier 'naked' cake as h2b hates icing. undecided between plain sponge or chocolate sponge but i'm thinking chocolate with melted chocolate on top with strawberries as i loooooooooove chocolate strawberries!! Also I just remembered seeing an old thread has given meh an awesome Idea since I never had an engagement party I think I should have it the night before the Wedding after the rehearsal we all eat and and drink sensibly music laughter no need for presents as Everyone I want to be there will be there and It will just add to My Deaton Wedding Weekend as it will lead on to my Wedding Day another day of Celebration Love and togetherness I think this is a really good idea cannot wait to tell H2B to see what he Thinks Also H2B coming to stay with me from Wednesday cannot wait to collect him from New Street and then I will bombard him with all the quotes and everything I have done as he has to listen and concentrate and their is no TV or Xbox to distract him and we can go for a cake tasting and come up with a design of my wedding cake and get a quote on the wedding cake and the cake topper all exciting stuff cannot wait =D ♥ X

im not sure a party the night before the wedding would be the best idea any one ever had. I think it would be a bit too much for the guests. Something with your nearest and dearest would be a better idea, maybe a quiet meal and a local pub or something.

Just a lil party where we staying Velcro with munchies and I know lots of people will want a drink when they arrive so just get to know each other and relax with my nearest and dearest as you said a on the low down party music chilling getting in the mood for the celebrations next day =D And Thank you InDreamland I know I'm very organized been busy busy This is the most organized I've been in my whole entire life =D ♥ X

I would worry about people getting smashed and being hungover at the wedding - you don't want your wedding being a damp squib because everyone got loaded the night before...unless you're supplying the drinks its also another expense for your guests, and if they are going to be there all weekend, it might be one they can do without.
That said, if you keep it casual, along the lines of 'we will be having a few drinks at xyz on the eve of the wedding and you are more than welcome to join us', so that people who are making a mini holiday of it don't feel pressured to attend etc I'm sure it will be fine...
