My Dad told my mum last night that he is so nervous about his speech. My mum is going to write some bits out for him and try to help him. I feel bad for him as he is not really good at speaking in public. Iv told my mum to keep it short for him. xx

i agree, there a loads of books and stuff on speeches if that helps, but yeah, being stood up next to him would be a nice touch.

Good idea. Iv told him not to feel he needs to say anything but he said he would feel worse not saying anything. Iv asked him just to thank everyone if he feels he wants to say something xx

my problem is reverse of your ginge23, my dad is one of the embarrasing ones. when i was younger he used to serrenade my friends just to make them and me cringe with embaresment. i really hope he behaves with the speeches.
I hope you dad finds a way to do his speech, im glad i am not doing one or else the guest would have about 4 speeches to listening to all saying thanks for coming lol xx

If he dosent want to do it I would not ask anyone else as I would not want him to think they were taking his place. Im happy either way with or without a speech so im not fussed just as long as he is happy xx
