was at a wedding show on saturday and while looking at flowergirl dresses i had a look at a swatch book to see if the colours matched what i want to put my bridesmaids in and it wasnt there!!!!! ive still to order their dresses which im hoping to do this weekend.
thing is would it look stupid if i had a slight variation on the colour between them and the decor cos the way it looks its turning out to be about 3 or 4 different shades of purple and im in a panic that its not going to go and looks stupid. i dont want to change my colour at this stage since ive already bought my table decorations and stuff.....
i know ive got a while to go but in my mind i want to get things done and i can sit back and relax for a bit so im not constantly mulling over things....

Find some material in your specific colour, then hem a few strips up and use them as sashes for your flower girls! That's what I'm doing as my only bridesmaid lives abroad so when she gets her dress made she's going to send over some excess material so I can use it to colour match the groomsmen and kit out my girls xx

were having cadburys purple and when you search for it online they are always different shades!! (annoyingly) we have already booked our chair sashes and bought our tables runners etc..which i know are going to be different to my bridesmaids dresses but i dont think it will look silly if anything it will prob add to the effect! a friend of mine had all diff shades of pink at her wedding a few months back but it wasnt planned to be diff shades its just how it turned out and i thought it looked fab like it! so go for which ever ones you want hun..everything will look fine :) xx

thanks girlies makes me feel a bit better. i was discussing with my moh about this and she seems that my prominent colour is ivory with purple and that maybe the different shades of purple will work cos it breaks up the ivory.
so in a sense what you are saying is just as good idea as she says......
