I wish I could kick him out but after looking in to it the law says I can't :( we have joint tenancy on this flat which means equal rights to be here even though I have my daughter and one on the way. bloody stupid!! the only way I can get him out is if he goes of his own choice. he has signed up with the council but theres not much chance as he isn't homeless or a priority. I can't (nor want to) leave this flat as we are now settled and after moving 8 times in 12 years I simply don't want to have to move again just because he won't or can't. so for the time being we are in seperate rooms and I am doing my best to avoid him. :((

Contact the landlord and request the tenancy is put into your name only.
Would he really be that spiteful to drag all of that up if you did kick him out?

I split with an ex and we had a joint tenancy, i just bagged up all his stuff and left it by the back door
You can kick him out hun, I would hope to think he would not force you to let him stay, neither would he make you and his babies move but I dont know him xx

i would just kick him out too and leave his stuff outside! he can go to the council and argue it if he likes but the council cant force u to accept him back in the home if ur no longer together and since the child more often than not stays with the mother u have more right to stay in the flat than he does, esp since hes the one that has ended it, its his problem to try and sort out a place to stay, u cant break up with someone and still expect to live with them! thats just stupid! kick him out and let his mum or someone else deal with him, u deserve some time to think and deal with whats gone on without him being in ur face, ur pregnant too so u dont need the stress, another factor why he should be gone and u should stay x
