How are you all picking what music you hare having?
Are you all picking what songs you REALLY like then leaving it up to the DJ Or are you writing out a complete list?
We are giving a long list of the songs we really like.. and adding some 50s 60s 70s and lots of 80s.... with the chance for people to request songs too
then giving him a Do NOT play list!!!

We're having a ceilidh band but they're doing a disco too after the ceilidh. We've asked for requests from our guests on our website but if I don't like them they're not going to the DJ!

my OH has his music FULL BLAST now.. and coming in the lounge every song asking me if i like!!
We have about 40 songs so far.. thats just over 2 hours.. so we have to keep looking lol

I think its important to leave it to the professionals whilst guaranteeing some of your faves will come up so think you made the right choice there.... requests will go down a treat and ensure ppl get up and pack the floor.... having a do not play list is also fab as you dont want someone to request anything cringy,

we are having a dj and have told him just to play a general mix of music though will be telling him a do not play list though xxx
its a friend who's our dj, so we are just telling him soe songs we want played and trusting his judgement with the rest! xx

I was going to leave it pretty much up to the DJ Suzky.. but he asked for a list... he said there is nothing more annoying than a DJ playing songs that are not liked!!

I've asked my guests to tell us their favourite songs on their RSVP's - we're gonna make a playlist from this and then hopefully everyone will be up dancing at some point!!!

I will be making a massive list of songs for the dj to play and then people can go up and request what songs they like. It actually gets on my nerves when the dj plays what they want, lol. Obviously they know whats best to play and in what order.

We have written a very long list with some must haves plus a list of what not to play. I wont be allowing for request though im affraid as its our wedding and I dont wanna listen to music that other people like, lol. I wanna be able to say that I loke every song and dance to every song.

I think the best dj's are the ones that actually play your playlist! I get very frustrated when I'm at a party and no-one is dancing and the dj continues to play what they like!

i've put a little note into everyone's invites to pick one song they would like to listen too, then i'll compile the list and pass it to the dj so he can arrange for this to happen, even said if he hasn't got the song he'll go out and buy it providing it's still sourceable

I've started on a *must play* list. So far, we're only picking songs that we have a reason for being played. If I picked every song we liked, the DJ could never get through them all

my dj is from wire fm so i think it should be ok
but i will having a list of songs he MUST play and some he MUST NOT play (due to me becoming a wreck etc... lol) and i want all the kiddies songs early on like pizza hut and music man etc... tire out some kids :) haha xx

i have included in the invites to email me their song requests and then we will add some and give to our dj!! we will be having a do not play list tho. there is one person that i really dont want to be played but cant think of his name for some reason but he sings that song bonkers. i cant stand his music!!xx

The only song i dont want the dj to play is h2b first dance with his ex wife.. i dont know it but i told h2b to tell him in private as i dont want to know lol.. although when i told him to do this he says he actually doesnt remember it ?
