I got thinking after reading Trish's dilema about whether the bridesmaid go down the Aisle first, who gets to walk me down the Aisle. My Dad unfortunately is no longer with us, after a diving accident that happened years ago, so he will be sadly missed on our special day, but now I have the dilema of who walks me down the Aisle. My Mum thinks she should do it as she is the one giving me away 'as a parent' but my Brother can't wait to get rid of me (ha ha), no really he thinks it should be a man's role. I think my Mum would probably be the most upset if I didn't let her do it, so what should I do?

Why don't you have your mum on one side of you and your brother on the other?

I think that's a good idea Kaya. Not sure I want to be using my mouth to hold the bouquet but it would look very funny in the pictures LOL! I think the only problem with letting them both walk me down the aisle is that my brother is nearly 6ft tall and my Mum is 5ft so might feel like a tug of war!

I had my mum on first marriage and she also gave my sister away when she was married. Not having anyone this time being second time round dont need giving away lol. Am sure you can find something for your brother to do especially if its your mum that will be most hurt

    Going to become Mrs Stockman

I think I will ask my Mum to do the honours and my Brother is great at speeches as he has been a bestman twice. Just worried what he might say about me, he's a bit cheeky at times and knows all my secrets. Plus he has a few things to get me back for since he is younger and when we were little I had a thing about dressing him up in a tutu and sailor hat! OOOpps!
Thanks for all your help girls xx

Aw I fell out with my Mum the other day too but we made up today. She has been gradually doing my head in though, we even had to change our venue as she would only fly 3 hours not the extra hour to take us to Greece. Family are a nightmare sometimes but I'm sure your Mum wouldn't give up the chance to give you away Kimmy! Good Luck though and don't let her stress you out.

I lost my Dad two years ago this month :(

As he is the only person who should have had the honour of walking me down the aisle (IMO) I will be going down alone with a picture of him in my bouquet :)

Can't wait until the day I become Mrs. Johnson :)

Have them both. Whatever you do, do what you want not what keeps everyone else happy. It's your day.

Liz3yy - i love that you are taking a photo of your dad down the aisle with you, that is such a special touch xxx
