Hi all,

Just wanted some advice on how you would all go about what i am about to endure lol!!

So we get married June this year, i am leaving my job on June 6th as i will be moving from Northamptonshire to Wales straight after my wedding!! H2B is in the forces so moving to an army base! We hopefully will get the house keys 2 weeks before hence me leaving my job earlier than needed. So im planning to move most of my stuff in that 2 weeks, come back get married, go on honeymoon the day after the wedding for 2 weeks, come back from that and head straight to Wales! aghhhh!!!

Starting to panic a little bit lately and crying over the smallest/silly things! Is there anything you would do to ease the situation? xx

It sounds like you need a really clear plan of what happens when. I always feel better once I've broken things into manageable chunks and know what I need to do on each day.

I'm in the same situation. When I get married, I'm handing in a 3-4 week notice so I have more time to get everything sorted and not feel pressured. Northamptonshire to Wales is a little further than I am a moving though! Could you not possibly finish work a little earlier so you have also a little more time before you get the keys? Then you can feel less stressed in moving because most of your packing etc is done? Could that be an option? X

Bethany, how far from home are you moving? Do you have a new job to go to? Ideally i would love to finish work a bit earlier however with no job as of yet to go to in Wales i really would like to save as much money as possible! Even though H2B has said he'll cover my bills (car insurance, mobile phone etc) until i get sorted, im a very independant person! lol! or stubborn as he says! I think its all just becoming a bit overwhelming with only 14 weeks to go! The moving side of things hasnt really crossed my mind until recently! xx

Im doing similar, my notice finishes on 4th June, I get married on the 7th. Dave already is staying in chef accommodation in the new place 3 n half hours away, so I am finishing organising the wedding on my own. After the wedding we still dont know if we are spending the week on honeymoon, or moving to a new house (if we find one in time haha). Not as far as you...but Im not looking forward to the move none the less! haha

I'll be only moving about an hour away from where I am now and it's an easy enough drive up the A1. I won't have a job either, I'm going to apply just before I leave and once I'm there as like your H2B, my H2B said he will just have to cope with being the person bringing the income in for a while. I think as long as you have a little money saved you'll be fine. X

Thanks for all the advice ladies :) breaking it down into chunks is what i am going to do :-/ Im going to book a couple of days off work in May to sort though my stuff....hopefully throw loads away lol and then pack up what i wont need. (this is the plan anyway) haha!! I think i'll just pack my honeymoon things starting soonish as they can just go in a suitcase in the spare room for now! So much to think of, be glad when its August and i'll be married, settled and hopefully have a new job!!
