    hi everyone,

so my mum will be a young mother of the bride (she will be 42 at the time of the wedding) and is finding that a lot of MOB outfits are more old fashioned than she would like and doesn't think they will suit her so has been looking around to find dresses that will work.

She has come across one in red and whilst I have no issue with guests wearing red (i've heard that some people do) my bm dresses are dark green and I just think they would clash in the photos. What do you ladies think?

    TIA x

Red and Green should work if you think they are the main 2 colours throughout Christmas and stuff? xx

thanks wizbit, that's what I am worrying about, our wedding is september so it doesn't even tie in with the season! I'm worrying everyone will just wonder why we went with christmas colours :')

My mum is like this too, I think the red and green would compliment each other rather than clash, like Wizbit said they are Christmas colours. I don't think you need to worry too much September is a month you can get away with a lot of colours as you are just coming our of summer and going into autumn/winter.

Navy goes well or a classic black lace dress with cream jacket? Depends what style of wedding you are having

A shopping day would be a great idea Nicole, you could have a proper girly day together and explore all the options. When we have our hair and make up trial in October, we are going shopping the next day for the bridesmaids shoes and bags and mums outfit.
