**link removed** Hi ladies i read this story above and although i would never pay that much for a dress i have fallen in love with the dress itself so im getting vera wang to make me something similar but a lot less expensive lol My budget for my dress is 10k which i know is alot and i maybe wont use but its my dress so i want it to be perfect and money is no object to get the one in this instance! What dress are you all getting and what is your one thing you are having for your day that money is no object for??

My dress actually only cost me £300 i had a much higher budget but when i went to try on dresses the one i fell in love and felt like a princess in was on the sale rack. Pics are on my profile. My money burner was my shoes but even they were only £65 in the end. Dont think i would spend that much on a dress but that me personally. My whole wedding is costing less than that and we havent scrimped on everything. The whole day is exactly what we want

My dress cost me £500 including all alterations and I love it. My budget was going to be £300 originally but I'd have had to pay extra for alterations so don't think I've done too bad really lol. Pics on profile.

10K omg.... thats what I only wanna spend on my whole big day including dress and thats actually already more than we could afford I reckon... my dress i budget max 1.5K so thats already loads... so far so good will see but the dresses I loved where like about 1K so i'm in my budget and if I could get it cheaper I wouldnt think twice actually coz even that is so much :D

my budget was £1500 and i thought that was alot. the dress im having cost £1200 but was originally £1549 but had 20% off. if your dress budget is 10k i cant imagine what your wedding budget is. but think to yourself is a dress your going to wear 1 day worth 10k?

I think if you work hard enough for it, and thats what you want then go for it...but there are too many other things i 'want' so would really begrudge spending that much just for a dress for one day...even if it says vera wang! I am glad i am not into 'labels' ...if i like something, i like it whether its new look or vera wang. xxx i cant see your page as its still restricted hun x

I agree Kev's Angel - I'm not into labels either. Tbh I think you pay just for the name most of the time. I chose my dress based on what I wanted in the style (eg, not strapless, no very long train as it wouldn't suit my wedding venue etc) - then when I found 'the one' I still didn't have a clue what make it was (since found out it's Forever Yours). In fact, I didn't even pay attention to how it fastened til a couple of weeks ago lol (I'm so girly - not). We haven't even spent 10k on the whole wedding and honeymoon. It's not as if we couldn't have - but we couldn't see the point. I've always said I couldn't justify spending so much money on just one day when there's so much more I want in life. And the dress will only be worn once so even spending £500 I feel it's a lot - but I suppose wedding dresses aren't cheap...

Every one has different tastes. For me since i was little i have always wanted a vera wang dress. Now that i am getting married and can afford to have one then why the heck not i say, after all im only doing this once and im paying for it!
Im going to use the dress one day to make my childrens cristening outfits when we have them as did my mother and grand mother before me, its a nice way to reuse it and that way its used more then once!!
I dont think its fair that your all putting my dress budget down, you dont even know me. Have i said anything about your dress budgets?? no!! I think its great that youve found your dream dresses for £300, £1000 etc but for me my dream dress will be a vera wang one and i do have the money for it because ive worked bloody hard for it building my own business up over the last 15 years.
And im not into labels either, i just want a vera wang wedding dress, whats wrong with that???

Jadeyladey - no one's putting you or your dress budget down. We're expressing our opinions of our own budgets and tastes. Personally if you want to spend that amount of money on a dress and can afford it, that's upto you - I'm sure many people on here can also afford it but choose not to. If we all did the same thing then the world would be a very boring place - that's why we have different opinions and discuss them on here.

i didnt have a budget for my dress,my mum told me shed top up what ever i needed,but after a horrible experience in a bridal shop,i ended up getting my dress made to measure from a lady i found on line,dont regret it at all,it was perfect and even better it was pink lol

Its not made yet hunni but the one on my profile picture is what it will be based on. That one is the worlds most expensive wedding dress which was $12 million's lol (it has 150 caret diamonds on it i mean really wtf?) mine will be NO WHERE near as much but i loved the design, so ive asked for something similar to be made for me :-)

I think its fab you're getting the dress of your dreams, weddings mean different things for different people, and for me the dress is of utmost importance. I would be willing to spend whatever it took for the perfect dress, but thats becuase the dress is really important for me. I have bought my dress, and I love it and thats all that matters. If you spend £20 or £10,000, its the feeling your paying for, and if Vera is what you need to get that feeling then by all means go for it, and be proud to do so! :D

You have a dream dress and you are able to fulfil that dream..well done to you! My dress is my nightmare part of the wedding due to my shape, it almost gives me a panic attack just thinking about it! ha ha ha. I will probably have mine made my a local couture dress maker which will even save money as no adjustments required as it will be made for me first time round. The one thing we dont have a budget for are our rings as we will be wearing those for the rest of our lives and designing those gives me a warm feeling inside! ha ha ha

Seriously if you can afford it and its whats you want then you get one. She is an amazing designer and I would love to wear a dress by her but unfortunately you have to fit to a Wang not the other way round so im rather stuffed!
