really really NOT happy with work at all! my mate handed her notice in & i asked my boss if i could have some of her hours seeing that they cut mine cause of the new bloke, my boss said not a problem, i have next sat booked off work for roberts 3rd birthday party & i have ONE whole bloody shift all week!!!!! i was the same as you i got told i could have more hours and then they sasid there wasnt enough but they were still taking on new staff and when i asked why they said it was because i didnt cover for people when they were off id said it ONCE because i was really ill but i stopped as they were taking the mickey! id just stop covering if you can and they will soon see how much you actually do!!

I have had the day from hell!! i had him telling me to F off! because i told him we had to do food orders in a certain way etc then for them to tell me they have taken my saturday shift away from me!! He raised his voice to me & when i asked him not to he raised it more!!! so i am being punished for mr PERFECT i got home & just burst into tears into h2b's arms he doesnt want me to go back but we cant afford me not to work

The unions aren't any good in my opinion - we see the devastation round us every day and it was mainly down to the unions - so many factories and mines have shut in this region. The amount they want the teachers and Sencos to picket is ridiculous as well.

Raekim, I wouldn't be a teacher without being in a union - too risky, even though I don't believe in all the action they advocate.
