well i have just spent the last hour and half sorting out our finances!! (and trying to watch x factor!) we were very lucky that when we moved to our first home my dad paid for our rent upfront for a whole year! but obviously we have to pay him back! we were meant to start straight away but my job came to an end and i had to do loads of temping work and we had to live off martyn's monthly contribution which meant no paying back rent into a separte account as dad wants it back in lump sum.
I have taken a job (i'm a nanny) which i really like but money is a bit poop and i get paid weekly ; that i hate!! so i finally figured it out so we can start paying back money and i can actually be left with some money to pay my own bills! then h2b has a moan up that i opened up an ISA to pay money into !!!! i lost it told him to deal with our finances then and sort it out!! (hasn't a clue with our finances whatsoever!! i do everything which i honestly don't mind but you'd think i had just applied for a million ££ loan the way he went on!!
Working out what we are left with is so so sad !!! i hate thinking about money it depresses me soooo much!! I know we aren't the only ones but it sometimes feels like it!!!
don't have to reply just needed to vent so now...... rant over!!!!! might go have a late bath!!
thanks!!! xx

we are struggling just now too. H2B got a new job, and he needs to buy a car (he had a company car with last job) and pay back his Uni fees to his last employer. Worrying about money is bad enough, but when you have a wedding coming up it sucks big time!
we are having to take out a loan to pay the fees back and to buy him a car. He will get a car allowance in his new job though, which is something.

We're up the creek as well, we did our finances last weekend and I almost cried! Fortunately all is not lost but it means really having to tighten our belts up (with xmas on the way and 2 kids..........ooooooooh noooooooo!!)
There's nothing to stop you looking for something else jobwise, you might not like letting other people down but you really need to prioritise yourself on this one!! Sending huge hugs and I hope things start working themselves out for you xxx
It's right what they say

But if it had been easy then we wouldn't love each other as
much as we do right now - 1 week to go :D

If only money was never an issue! I think it's the main argument topic with everyone Hun, sometimes it sucks being a grown up, I'm 35 and still adjusting!
CommentAuthorAldridge2B
Money is not a nice topic for any relationship, but unfortunatley it has to be looked at and unfortunatley it does cause laods of arguements well it does with our relationship. it sucks being an adult sometimes!! our money is really tight at the min but there is always something round the corner for us all. i had a car accident neraly 2 weeks ago so i have just started a compo claim, dunno how much it will be but any thing will help at the min. hope everything works of for you chick x x x

I know what you mean about trying to sort things out when being paid weekly, being paid on different time scales is a total nightmare.
My boyfriend is a student so he gets a student loan - it comes as 9 monthly payments between September and May, with the September payment double the others for some reason, so I have to muck about squirelling bits of it away to spread it evenly over the year. He also has a part-time job which pays him every fortnight, but it's casual work so the amount varies, and then I get paid monthly!
Between us we have five bank accounts and I am constantly moving money from one to another trying to stay one step ahead of everything, but it is really difficult, especially when our income is low compared to our outgoings. H2B doesn't have a clue and just blindly trusts that I will sort things out so that he can carry on getting his pocket money, and the responsibility can be a bit wearing!
money is the root of all evil (my mum used to say!)
i am pretty good with money i control the finances as in pay the bills but only coz it was that way b4 h2b moved in. its hard to manage when only 1 income and even harder when 1 is earning less than the other i really hope you guys can sit down and work out how to sort this out :0) xx

Its tough to live to your normal standard and save for the wedding, Im pretty good at managing our money generally and we'd saved well for the wedding in not much time but the final expenses have spiralled out of control a bit and its getting stressful esp with christmas straight afte our honeymoon and 4 kids! Thank goodness we are AI as otherwise we wouldnt be eating lol!

my h2b is a student as well so gets stufent loan which he is really good with compared to most students, goes out once a week but doesnt spend much and sometimes thats just round a friend playing computer games, he also work all day every sat:)
CommentAuthorltw979
H2b is really good with money most of the time but has absolutely no idea how we pay bills etc who provides basic amentities for the house etc. If anything happened to me he wouldnt have a clue. We both work full time and have relatively well paid jobs in relation to some but my word, we really dont live extravagantly though H2B does like to wear very nice clothes (he does work very hard and doesnt buy ridiculous amounts, trainers is another one he likes to spend on) while i go to the cheap highstreet shops so i can buy more for my money (you know where i mean), we camp for hols etc and still have very little spare cash at the mo! My 4 kids never want for anything though, maybe thats the problem i am rasing 4 very spoilt (but lovely most of the time) kids.

why did h2b have a freaky over a savings account? that's a sensible thing to have. I am alittle confused.
I hate money it is the root of all evil.

ah thanks girls!! We spoke a little while after and he said he didn't really understand what i was doing!!! he thought i was taking money from his account monthly not our jooint account. he has a fairly well paid job but we do still have to be careful with what we spend and i just wanted to sort out paying my dad back. he also didn't understand why i opened an ISA account when he had a savings account which i totally forgot about.
hopefully i'll get a pay rise soon and that will help but i'm also going to do a course to get me a better career as i hate where i am in my life (work wise) right now. I agree money is the root of all evil!
Hey ho the only way is up
