We were debating whether to have our wedding on a Friday or Saturday, got all of our quotes etc with the Saturday as our date and then I wondered what the difference would be if our wedding was on the Friday instead. So far we've saved:

£100 on photographer
£50 on hire of registry office room
£100 on cars
£150 on venue reception

So £400 just for bringing it forward by one day and the packages are all exactly the same. I did specifically ask each person if there were discounts for a Friday wedding but as I had the dicussions by email I didn't feel cheeky doing so haha

it is worth it but make sure you let all your guests have plenty of notice so they can book the day off

It is definitely worth ti but again as OMM has said make sure the guests have plenty of notice with regards to booking time off work etc... xx

i am having a thursday wedding for same reason. My venue charges the same for a friday as they do for a saturday, it works out well over £1000 cheaper to have it on the Thursday xx
