You should then. I got mines little plaques with their name at the top then it said "I can't say I do without you, will you be my bridesmaid? With me and oh name and date of wedding at bottom. Gave them to them at the same time and it was lovely. That all have them hanging in their house too nice keepsake

Like Velcro said, as long as you are sure then its not an issue. I also had to let go of two people I thought I wanted as bridesmaids but then realised that firstly I couldn't afford 5 bridesmaids and also the two that I had to let go would not necessarily be the support structure I would need throughout this.

When we booked our wedding we still had just over 2 years to go but first thing I did was ask my BM - I knew who I wanted and went ahead and did it lol xx

As long as you are 10000% sure there is no harm in asking them this early. I asked mine as soon as we booked the venue which was 2 years in advance :)
Also, if you will be asking them to pay for certain things (like hair and makeup for example), it will give them a long time to save up if needs be which could be useful xx

Like everybody else has said as long as you are sure it is who you want then there is no harm asking them now. I asked mine when we booked with 18 months to go :) x

my bm's already know who they are but I'm waiting until xmas this year to "officially" ask them as I will be making up a "will you be my bridesmaid" box with bits in it as one of their xmas presents. If your 100% sure who you want then do it, it means they can start helping you out with your planning earlier :D

I'm getting married in July 2017 and have unofficially asked my bridesmaids. Im buying them a wine glass with 'will you be my bridesmaid?' On it. Something for them to keep. I've also more or less planned the whole wedding (bad I know lol) x

As long as u r 100%... we started planning our weddig a few yr back bt ended up moving it then had our children so i got put back till this year... my bridesmaids have completely changed since then and infact i am no longer really friends with my then moh..
But kids change ppl and as soon as i had my son she got vry jelous n nasty with me and about me i have no idea where it came from... her brothers girlfriend (both old school friends) is now a very good friend of mine and is my bridesmaid along side my brothers girlfriend. I have no moh tho i dont have any1 im super super close with anymore so i chose not to.
My daughter is the main 1 in my eyes but being 20mnths at the time she cnt quite do moh duties haha :-)
