well today we had food tasting today and went with 3 out of 4 BM's and my mum

we all chose lots of different things and have hopefully decided upon

    starter:

Thai sweet chilli chicken (little strips with the sauce on side) very yummy
    and veggie option of
Caramilised onion and goats cheese tart

    main:

Roast leg of lamb with all the trimmings
    and for the veggies
    spinach and ricotta ravioli

    dessert:

    sticky toffee pudding with custard

or we could have vannila cheesecake which was just as yummy but thought the sticky toffee was mmmmmmmmm mmm !! lol

do you think its quite a heavy meal? or is it nice?

Now we were torn to have turkey as my aunty won't come as she doesn't like lamb or the smell of it! apparently its not meant horribly it makes her feel sick !! but to me its your nieces wedding! lump it i can't stand fish but would put up with it if i had too. but we both love lamb!! ?

    xx

Surely she can have the veggie option? Lamb doesn't smell that bad that you can smell it across the table. I hate the smell of fish but put up with it when the h2b eats it.

I wouldn't pander to one guest hating the smell of food- just give her the veggie option.

As for desert... summer or winter?

I was meaning if it was middle of summer the custard might be a bit much, but its an Easter wedding so will be fine.

For one guest they can often cater for specific dietary requirements - just lay it on thick and say she is allergic, or intolerant etc. I will have a couple of guests who won't be able to eat what we pick, and the venue do ask about any special stuff they have to cater for.
