I have recently been looking into getting my wedding ring when my mum has popped up to see me today, shes been looking through her jewellery and she has found the wedding ring that was my great grandmas & my nans wedding rings and was also hers (until my mum and dad renewed their vows and she got a new one)! and she has given it to me!! i would love to wear a wedding ring with such a sentimental background, one problem...its yellow gold and my engagment ring is white gold!!
Do you think these two rings would look daft together??, my engagement ring is 3mm and the wedding band is 4.5mm. I just want to wear it so much haha!!!!

i think they would look lovely and your ring would be so special
I think go for it, it has such sentimental value and so much meaning behind it - nobody's going to look at it and go "oh but it's yellow gold", and if they do they're a ninny! ;)

Go for it, nothing you could buy will match up to the significance of that ring :) :)

If you like it go for it. Im sure if you changed your mind you could get it dipped anyway, then it would be vintage and modern all at the same time!
When we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours
we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying
weirdness and call it love, true love.

I agree with the other ladies and like gothbride said you can always have it dipped so the color matches.

I have a white gold E ring and am planning on getting a yellow gold wedding band. Try them on together, mine look lovely, they are both thin so look really nice together. I like the mixed metal look.

It doesn't matter at all. This is the family treasure that you should cherish forever.
