... Today, I've taken two CB home tests, which both came back positive! I can't believe it! I know the box said it's 99% but can I take this for a pretty certain "I'm pregnant"?

Its very odd to get a false positive...make a doctors appointment to be doubly sure and you have taken two tests! wow and 12 days till your wedding :D Congrats!

Thank you so much everyone! Well VictoriaM1 just happens that only two months ago I came off my pill, I had my first "natural" period after coming off the pill last month, all was fine and we started trying after then, but I wasn't getting my hopes up and didn't expect it to happen so quickly, I was due on my second period last Monday which never came (obv hehe) so took two tests today. Everyone is different, as soon as I came off my pill I started taking folic acid as well I'm so pleased!!! we are just discussing now when would be the best time to tell people esp family, as the wedding is so close now, questions will be raised as to why I'm not drinking, I'm tempted to leave them at the guessing game hehe xxx

Oh wow wow wow!! :-D :-D I would be one happy Bride if i fell pregnant that quickly, and to be pregnant on my wedding day would be unbelievably special to me and h2b as we are ready for a little one :-).

if you're only so early on hun i wouldnt make a big broadcast at the wedding...see if the venue can supply some fizzy apple juice on the sly so it looks like your on champers all night! congrats xxxx

hehe thank you :) It's not sunk in yet! I don't think it will until we have scans etc, we have spoken about announcing it in the speech, but I was a little worried it might be too early, although I do want to sing it from the roof tops! We are planning on telling family this weekend :D xxx

and yes as the others have said you cant get a false positive as the test is looking for the HCG hormone to turn the line blue, so unless your pregnant then the hormone wont be there.

Congratulations :) I wouldn't advise that you annouce it yet.. with you being so early on. Its advised to wait until 12 weeks to be sure that everything is OK.

Congratulations! I think you're best to tell close family now and then wait until you've had your first scan to tell anyone else. It would be lovely to announce it at your wedding but it's still very early. My sil2b was possibly 6 weeks at her wedding last November and she told everyone she wasn't drinking because she wanted to remember every part of the day. Don't be like her though, she didn't actually tell our side of the family til last week and the baby is due next month. Bit of a shocker. You are so lucky to have conceived so quickly, I hope it happens like that for us next year. X

ahh congrats how lovely for you!!! alot of people think its unlucky to tell people before the 3 month mark but its upto you, i agree that people are going to wonder about the lack of bubbly your drinking at your wedding lol i got busted at 8 weeks pregnant at my birthday meal for not drinking as i was rubbish at my cover story maybe you can invent some illness that needed antibiotics or something and thats why you cant drink or just tell everyone and make your wedding doubly special xx

I would keep it quiet for a few weeks yet as nice to have your secret. My sister-in-law married my brother 6 weeks ago and she was pregnant, direct family knew already but they announced at the speeches that she was pregnant but was 13 weeks gone so already had a scan so knew everything was ok. xx

i woulnt tell people so early if i was you but that is your choice. if people are asking why you arent drinking just say you dont want to get drunk. i got smashed at my wedding and regret it as dont remember the whole day.
what do you normally drink? if it is spirit and coke/lemonade, just pretend that you are drinking but dont drink anything someone has bought you. if it is wine have apple juice but ask for it in a wine glass and no one will be able to tell. also for the toasts, just pretend to drink it so make people not suspect!!
