we have planned, saved, booked and prepared for the wedding (almost finished paying!) and we attended court over my h2b access to his son which has been going on for over a yr i think now. we were told in september that over night contact would start at the next hearing to be told yesterday that no it wont. my h2b has been given 2 over night stay days in 4 months! 8 weeks apart. which i think is more confusing than not having him stay at all. its kind of like yes you can, no you cant. how confusing for a 4 yr old? (his mums excuse is she is the only one who can settle him, the judge did say this will not hold for long hence him putting in 2 nights in stay over contact!) she also stated that overnight contact should not start until he is old enough to decide for himself! (he begs and screams every week when we take him home, he brings his tooth brush in his pocket (not that he needs it coz he has one) my h2b had 3 night access per week until she got with her current partner? come on???
any way his ex partner stated that if over night contact does not start before our wedding she will not change the access day (we have him sunday one week saturday the next and it rolls on that way) i mean how evil? he is a pageboy we have his outfit. my h2b and i sat down last night and agreed if he cant be there we will postpone until we know he can stay over night we have also decided not to book florida for next summer as she wont grant a passport for us to take him with us.
another annoyance is our daughters miss out now too?!?!? i could just scream!! sorry for the rant thanks for reading XxX

i agree mrs e 2 b i think thats really sefish, i would love for my eldest daughters dad 2 b involved in her life but he has had nothing 2 do with her since she was 1. my h2b brought her up from then n although he loves her like a daughter, we wouldnt stop ex from seeing her. he has had chances but when he does see her he ignores her and is more interested in me. i would do anything for him 2 be interested in his daughter. Jen ur h2bs ex will find out the hard way she is making a rod for her own back and it will come back n bite her on the bum!!! Rant over sorry lol xx

sorry to hear about this. my h2b has 2 girls and his ex is a nightmare. we have been togther 2 years and i have seen the girls 3 times. it is really hard and i know how you feel.
i really hope you manage to sort things and dont need to postpone the wedding xx
I may be completely wrong here but is there any reason why he begs and screams everytime he goes home to his mum? My H2B has 3 boys who live with us, they all moved into my house last July (I have 3 kids of my own too), he has had them full time since January 2010 but before he got them (social services told him to not let them go back to their mum) they would also carry on big time when they had to go back to their mother every Sunday teatime....

boo i know i have had my concerns for soooo long over his behaviour when we take him home! but he has been like that since he was one his grandma told me (h2b's mum) its awful to see and his sister h2b daughter he has custody off gets so upset. she has had social services involved previously we have been told the neighbours where they live called the police due to the arguements and fights so thats where my thoughts are maybe he doesnt like the atmosphere it has been brought up at court before and they say they are looking closely but what does that mean? i have no idea! xx

Me thinks some has a bit of the green eyed monster going on. Tell her to grow up. This affects not just her son but your daughters. I am sure they want to get to know there step/half brother. If you pospone the wedding will this make things any better?

it not that it will make things better its just we wouldnt want to make a family commitment without him there we have a sand candle case to unite us all as a family etc... so wouldnt feel right doing it all without him there xx thank you x

I wouldn't like to assume what they mean by that Jen, every case is different, but 3 years is a long time for a child to be like that. Has your H2B been in contact with social services. There could a million different reasons why the child is doing that but Social Services will look into it. Also, if there is deeper concerns found by Social Services it will bode well for your H2B in court that he contacted them himself xx

she sounds like a right evil cow, I mean why not make an exception for your wedding? sounds like she gets off on having control. I hate people that use kids to get back at folk, or hold them to ransom to get what they want.

he has contact social services thanks hunnie we have had cafcas involved to they have been and checked the new house etc.. i have custody of my nephew plus my daughter and h2b daughter so really there are no concerns with us (thankfully) cafcas have not been able to gain access to their home as yet they have tried and she has been ordered by court to allow access asap for inspection social services have divulged findings during court hearings but they havent found much
i really think she just needs to grow up. she has said previously i'm not having her son and to have my own child (which was when she didnt know i had a child of my own that put that conversation to a stop right away!
my ex husband is a total TOOL! but i never deny him access even when he disappears for months on end! when he comes back i grant it i think i'm too soft but then i think no its important for them to have a relationship!
aww linzi i really want that date i do its our 3yrs anniversary on that date :0( i can only cross my fingers and hope that between now and then we have overnight access or pray that the wedding falls on the day we have him xx
