Ok so the venue we love do a really good package with a room for us.. reception drinks, table linen, cake stand and finger buffet meal for 80 guests £2000
Which to me is a really good deal.. Although we would have to have the wedding the week before or 2wks after the date we wanted!! xx

It was cause of 14 being h2b''s lucky number and 7 being mine so was gonna be 14th july so might move it.. But with a good package like that I''d take the risk. xx

I'd feel more comfortable if it was informal than a sit down meal..
I went to a wedding back in february and it was the most informal wedding you can get.. Down the pub with a lil bit of food at about 4-5pm.. Nobody complained not even that they was hungry later..!! So mine be a step-up from that lol!! Plus its the Marriott Hotel which is so stunning.. :) xx

Do it hun. If you really want the venue one or two weeks won make a difference. We did that. The venue we settled on didnt have the 6th Aug so we went for the 13th instead. xxx

I'd say go for it...you could move it the week before to 7th July... 7+7=14 ?!?!
Plus there'll be a reason it's not available on your date (obviously not because of another booking - but because something will happen!!)

my deal is 2k and i love my venue i'm getting 5 course meal for 40 drinks package for each of them, evening buffet for 100, dj, red carpet reception, linen/napkins, honeymoon suite with breakfast, cake stand and knife (KEEPING THE KNIFE) toast master, ceremony there too, choice of rooms, discount packages for overnight stay for guests, all night bar for residents (alot of staying over lol) wedding co-ordinator

7th July is the date I'm getting married so it's guaranteed to be gorgeous weather and an amazing day, haha! I'd definitely have moved my wedding by a week or two to get the venue I wanted, I think you've done the right thing!
