really cheesed off at the mo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! went in to work on friday where i was told the school has no funding for my job and my leave date is June this year. i am looking really hard but if can not get new job by September might have to cancel, would not be able to plan on one wage

thats awful hun! start looking for a new job now, most schools advertise now for you to start in sept! look on you local council website!
I work in a school, and my contract might be up at the end of the school year as well, so to be safe i am looking for some thing else as well, but on a plus side if my contract is out i still get paid throught the summer, so will have wage coming in right up till end of august! don't know if your work does this but it could be a positive to it!!

Welshy - I work in a school as well, and the same thing happened to me a few years ago. My headteacher was a complete bi tch at the time though and didn't tell me my options. I went to the offices of the education authority and they advised me that because the school had made me redundant due to funding they could put me on the redeployment list. I'd say pay them a visit because I'm sure your local authority could do the same. The list gives you priority on jobs that become available so that your service (where possible) doesn't get broken. Hope that helps.

im sure you will find a job and will all be sorted me and h2b lost our jobs mine at the start of the year then when i found a new one he lost his job he started back next week, you will be fine, all i had for 3 mths was my hydestile job which paid me about £40 week was bad times xx
