    Hi all,
I'm in need of some help.
I've been on micronor contraceptive pill for 7 years nearly, i came off of it 6 weeks ago now. Has anyone else come off it and had a symptoms?
I've got really bad anxiety, nausea, headaches, tiredness, low mood. These symptoms are really affecting me everyday, working is a stuggle at the moment. I'm not sure if the symptoms are a result of the anxiety or the anxiety and symptoms are a result of coming off pill?
Thanks, i would really appreiciate any advice.
    Snowflake x

Micronor and Microgynon are really dodgy pills anyway....

I was only taking them (on seperate occasions obviously) as a migraine prevention thingy.
I fell pregnant on Micronor a few times (i have 2 children because of it failing as a contraceptive, and miscarried the other times).

Im currently giving myself a break from the pill as i have been on the pill for migraine prevention since i was 13 as no pian meds were working yet the pill allowed me to be able to concentrate on my school work.

I have not noticed any symptoms for coming off of it due to the fact that i have always had panic attacks/ anxiety attacks since before starting it anyway.

I think that if you are concerned about it then you should see a doctor. If you feel unable to see a doctor due to your symptoms then i would suggest either going to a pharmacy and buying something called "Rescue Remedy" or sending someone else to. Its a small bottle and costs about £4. but its brillient stuff. its got a little pipet and you just place a drop on your wrist or tongue and it will start to calm you down, this is what i use for my panic attacks, it comes in a little yellow box slightly bigger than a lipstick box. Its a herbal remedy and is totally harmless. you can even use it during pregnancy.

I have been on this pill for 15years and ive never had a problem in fact i went on a different pill when breastfeeding and was awful for me. I think it is important to remember that everyone is different and side effects are different for everyone. I had none.
When i first came off this pill though i got pregnant really quick and after two months it wasnt to be. So my advice would be as above pop the doctors that is their job and they will discuss all aspects of your symptoms and life in general.
Hope your feeling better soon xx

As the other ladies have said, definitely worth a trip to the doctor - everyone is different so it's safer not to go on what's happened to others. If it turns out they are all side effects then at least you'll know and something can be done, if it turns out they're not then hopefully they'll be able to figure out what actually is wrong.
Best of luck pet, hope you get sorted out, x

I would book in with your doctor - it's better to discuss with them to see if this is 'normal'.

Katya - Microgynon isn't 'dodgy'. I've been on this pill for a lot of years and never had a problem with it. It may not have worked for you, but it's a bit of a sweeping statement to describe it as 'dodgy'. I did try the 'mini' pill a few years ago - but it didn't really work for me. I'm now 40 but I'm still using Microgynon with no problems whatsoever!

I didn't realise so many people got pregnant on it... were you taking it religiously or missed one etc? I was on it for 2 years before I went on the implant and never got pregnant.

I'm on the implant and have been for the past 4 years and not had any problems that I know of :)

    xx

I think t is really normal when you come off it. My best friend is going through the same thing.
Your body has to get back into a pattern and your hormones have to kick in. I know it's horrible but it won't lasting!

Kayta- I am really surprised you were on the pill for migraine prevention. I get migraines and been told by countless doctors that I'm not allowed to pull because it makes them worse

    Not allowed to pull?!

I've been on microgynon for years as well and never had a problem. Best off checking with a doctor, as others have said, different things work different for different people.
