Me again. Because as some of you may be aware but for those who aren't me and my partner are marrying in Kefalonia Greece, we have been thinking about favours to take abroad with us, we are both liking the idea of message in a bottle. S basically a little corked bottle filled with some sand from beach when we get there and then a scrol with a message saying thank you etc, the. Dressing the bottles with ribbon etc.
Does that sound good enough? Only we struggling as cant do chocolate but we are on a budget xxx

They sound lovely but will they be weighty?
We got married in September and in the months leading up to Christmas 2011, we found a shop that sold love hearts stocking fillers so it was a clear plastic bag that had about 16 little tubes of love hearts in for £1. We got 4 packs and then in the Feb 2012, there were th0rtons rock sweets that had a heart in the middle for valentines. They were reduced down after valentines and I bought a few bags of those at 9p each. We got some little favour boxes from the indoor market (50 for £5) and put 2 sweets in each box and a tube of love hearts. I think in total they cost us about a tenner! x
I really did marry my Mr Wright and we had a nice day for a

Im geting married in Kefalonia too!! We are probably going to go for the bon bonieres, as I looked into it and apparently thats typically greek. That or ouzo.
But favours come looking so cute in organza and you can opt for a little ceramic cherub (which they are provding) to be attached which everyone can take as the favour after eating the sweeties!!
My friend also got married abroad and she chose seeds for people to plant, so as their love grows so does the flowers! Cute idea and cheap too :)
Great choice of location!! lol xx

I wanted to go to Kefalonia for my honeymoon, it's a beautiful place.
I'm going to echo Mrs Wright's post about it being weighty, how many bottles will you be taking and are they glass?
CommentAuthorMrs henderson 2B :)

message in a bottle were lovely and very classic and always been my favorite ;). you can add some tiny stones inside the bottle with a shade of your wedding motiff. i think it would look great too. Goodluck on your wedding day! <3

Thanks Chloe. Me and my partner been through tht many favours and couldn't agree and then I saw this and he loved the idea. Just think it more personal. And nice touch as I can have my vintage theme within it as will as the fact we get married in Greece lol.

Hey ladies, well brought some bottles with cork tops of the bay and they are so bloody tiny you can't fit nothing in them. So I'm calling on your help. Has anyone come across any bottles with corks tht are big enough for my message in bottle? Or where I could get them from? Xxx
