    Hi Everyone,

Im getting married in April 2011, we have a really tight budget and so I am not sure what to do about my partners suit...

I am thinking of hiring his suit but I have no clue how much this is, and also I dont know if we have to hire my fathers, the best mans and the ushers?

Do they have to match like the bridesmaids???

Please help, I have no idea?

    Thank You
    Erica

Have a think about what your budget is. Its up to you whether the suits match or not. You can hire which is usually cheaper and thy can all be the same. You can also buy which is usually more expensive. You may get suits in the sale, which is cheaper but they may not match.

I agree with angelan, Matalan do some great cheaper suits - thats where I'll be getting my sons from. Not sure whether we are hiring H2Bs suit or buying - still not decided whether hes going for a normal suit or something a bit 'unusual' yet (he is an unusual person!) But looked at Debenhams (under £100 to hire) and Moss Bros (about the same). Asda also do cheap, quite good suits. Either that or has he got a smart suit already that could just be jazzed up with a new shirt and waiscoat?

    Thanks Ladies,

This has really helped. I was worried that all the suits had to match which would be too much money out of the budget, I have had a look at the price of suits on the Matalan website and they are within my budget.

    Thanks again for you help!

I've found a place on ebay that hires suits for £50. Just search for wedding suit hire and he will come up. Either that or if you hire tux's they are usually cheaper at £29 each. If you know a student get them to hire them at Debenhams as they student discount and can hire them for £25. If even that is looking a little too high then Asda do a range starting from £14.00. Matalan also have some nice suits for about £50 including wasitcoat and also Burton's have a sale on mens suits at the moment with them down from £100 to £50. I've got a link on my wall for waistcoats etc on my wall for a ebay seller that has waistcoats etc for £10 each.

    Hey,

Ive been talking to my mum about all the things wedding!!! it was quite a good chat really. I think I have decided to not have everyone in matching suits as we are not having a big formal wedding anyway, Im thinking of buying Davids suit and buying matching ties for david, the best man, my dad, and the usher. Im getting silk flower button holes aswell to match the colour scheme of purple and ivory and saw them really cheap on ebay.

Im so excited, now im working things out and making decisions, its just so exciting!

Thanks again for all your help you lovely ladies!!! Much appreciated! xxxxxx

Search on the internet a couple I have seen are under £55 per suit. Normally the groom has a different colour cravat to the groomsmen who all have a matching colour :)

ekielty, we are doing the same. As my brother and H2B's brother are both in Australia, it would be too difficult to have them all in matching suits, so their brief is that the groom is wearing dark grey and we are going to get co-ordinating purple ties. I quite like the thought of having similar but not the same ties, different patterns but in purple :) If you find any nice ones let me know :)
