How about a 2 piece instead of a dress? That way you will be able to deal with your bag a little easier? I have a friend who has a bag and my only worry would be if it opens, as hers very occasionally does and she has to go home, fix her bag and then change, so perhaps some sort of pouch or something sewn into the dress? x

Hi hun, are you having your reception in a venue that you can stay at i.e. with hotel rooms? Or they should at least have disabled toilets which should be more roomy than a standard toilet cubicle. May I suggest if the option is available to you that someone i.e. mum or BM helps you out of the dress so you can sort it out without having to negotiate a big dress at the same time, and then help you back into your dress when you've done what you need to do?

This is a good tip for any bride not wanting help going to the toilet, my sister did this and I will be doing the same as I really don't want someone else in the bathroom with me whilst I'm doing my business.

Are you able to put a bandage round to hold it? Or will that damage the bag? Or those Spanx you can get?

aww thanks girls - your all fab. was worried about asking such a daft question.

yeh thats a good idea Indreamland :) sorry dont know your name! lol. hadnt thought of taking it all off completley to be honest. not sure whats worse! them helping me go or seeing my super size bussoms! lol not wearing a bra. i got it all going on under my dress! like a bloody freak show under there lmao.

cford think spanx or a bandage may cause un-necessary pressure and dont want my bag popping or leaking :( that really would upset me! xxx

lol, thanks Kathryn, it's Tracey ;) Everyone on here calls me InDreamland though, it's fine :D

Don't worry about showing your bussoms, if it's your mum or BM helping, well they have seen them before! Not necessarily yours but they've seen boobs before, we're all women lol. They're probably jealous ;)

Lol - ok Kas. Although everyone on here will call you Johns girl ;)

You are lucky, my sister told me when we were BM dress shopping for her wedding "that's a really nice dress, but you need to wear a padded bra with it" ..........my response "I am wearing a padded push-up cleavage enhancing bra!". I'm a 34B :(

Funny how people always want what others have lol. Have small boobs you want bigger ones, have big ones and you want smaller ones. Us ladies will never be happy ;)

Glad you love your dress and you really don't have long to go now! Hope my suggestion to just get in and out of the dress when necessary helps so you can have an easier stress free day xxx

my nieces don't have that exact problem but they do both have diabetes with pumps for insulin which is a little box bit bigger then a phone that they have to attach to there clothes or pop in a pocket as they have a canular which feeds the insulin constantly they have both had huge prom dress and the seamstress just fitted a pocket on the inside so they could easily get to the pump to adjust doses and such it didn't cost to much either and worked a treat for them both xx

Hi Kas, do they not do nice knickers these days with a pouch at the front for holding a bag? I remember reading about them after someone wanted to wear nice underwear so she set up the company!

I think the disabled loos might be your best bet!
If i end up needing help going to the loo on the big day i migth actually enlist a disabled loo and my new hubby to help! lol for some reason i think id feel more comfortable with him than my mother! lol! xx

if you havent already got your dress, what about a 2 piece? a bodice and skirt. that way the skirt can be pulled down instead of lifted up and fighting with all those layers

*note to self* read ALL replies before posting....you MUPPET!

Sorry, I can see you already have your dress, and someone else has also suggested a 2 piece.

Anyway, what about a pouch that attaches to a waistband, like a ribbon?

And anyway, you could STILL pull your dress down instead of up...unless of course you have a corset back and need it lacing again.

    Lmao raggedy Anne!!! Haha
Don't worry I seem to do that all the time lol.

Yeh think I will take off completely and then put back on, it's a zip back ( has the most beautiful button cover over the top tho. So didn't zip and wanted corset but the buttons to cover it def won it over for me. Anyway different story! Lol

Thank you all very much for your help :-) xxx

I prob won't need to do anything till evening, I'll change it completely before I put dress on and before evening I'll prob wanna go to the room and freshen up anyway. Lippy and mascara! Def must haves lol.
    Thank you sweetie xxx
