due to unforseen circumstances we may not be able to get married abroad and have to do it in uk. were on a touch budget and are voing that still only thoses who were on the orignal yes list for making the effort to come abroad will be the ones for the wedding ceromny others who turned their nose up at us and said were selfish..tough shite!!! so anyways we may have to get married here in the uk will cost so much more but i have no ideas were to look for a church or small venue and somewere for the breakfast that will only need 15 guests... please help as my heart is breaking every single minute :(

Take a deep breath hun. You still have lots of time to organise everything. I know you think that it might not be as cheap as getting married abroud but dont forget you have to find the money for the flights as well as the wedding. Not sure where you live so cant make any suggestions but I am sure that someone on here will know of a few places to try.

Thinking of you keep smiling xx

aww no, sorry you've had to change your plans. Is there anywhere local that you really like or anywhere else in the uk that's special to you? quite a lot of places have packages for january to bring in business after the christmas period. might be worth looking at sites for places you like and seeing what they've got on offer for this christmas/new year time to get an idea for the year after x

How about a restaurant? Some have private dining areas which may be an option??

There are so many people out there who will tell you
    what you can't do.
What you have to do is turn around and say, "watch me"!!

Sorry to hear your plans have fallen through, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. There are lots of us on here with quite small budgets, it needn't be cheap and nasty either. My budget is now £1,000! I'm am having a church wedding (check £££'s in ur area cos my church is £365!) , a big dress, 2 bms, a flower girl, 3 tier cake, 60 people to wedding & breakfast and another 70 for evening do! It's all about working out what u can do yourself and what talents ur friends have ;0p
And with only 15 guests to feed it needn't break the bank xx

If you really have your heart set on getting married abroad, then how about a bit of a comprimise?
We're getting married in Las Vegas and will have about 11 people coming out for that. But we're also having a non-denominational blessing in our local park a month later with a 'party' (which will be like an evening reception). We've hired a local restaurant for this, although we won't be having a sit-down meal, but a hot buffet with Jerk Chicken, Rice n Peas, Plantain etc.
Just a suggestion, hun. Hope you can work something out. Just remember, you're marrying your sweetheart, and nothing can change that Hx

None of H2B's family are coming out to Vegas for our wedding. They can't afford to and also his mum and dad are not in good enough health.
I can totally understand why you want your nearest and dearest there. It was quite an easy decision for us as neither of us are particularly close to our families. As long as my best friend is there, that was what really mattered to me. And now she lives in the USA, it's even better! Hx
