So, H2B is a big football fan. His main team is Man Utd, but as we live in London he can't really go up to see them play that often. Our local team is Crystal Palace and he is now a season ticket holder (which is great for me - get rid of him most Saturday afternoons haha!) Anyway, seen as we are now looking for a new venue, I have had a moment of madness and contacted Crystal Palace to hold our reception there! And wow they're good - literally 2 minutes after I sent them an email, I got a phone call from them! So off to see the venue in a few weeks...! Either that or they're just desperate for the business lol. They can also marry us there if we want, but putting my foot down on that one!! I do think I've gone mental - even h2b is wondering if I'm feeling alright seen as normally he never gets his way haha (or so he says!) x

no your not! but let your heart rule when you actually go to the venue- you may love it or hate it, just dont rush into anyhting tho! bet its a nice feeling that your h2b is recognising your thinking bout him too. only problem is what if he loves it and you dont.....?xx

Thats great news. We would have loved to have got married and had our reception and our favorite football teams ground but we just could afford it. xx

No harm in looking though! I dont think you've gone mad and once your inside you probably won't even realise where you are, but I bet it would make your h2b really happy! As long as you like it and it's in your budget, why not!! Hope it goes well x

Haha well Palace is neutral ground for us - seen as outside of that, we support rival teams (I'm Liverpool, he's Man Utd - when they play each other we don't talk...!)

But anyway back to the venue lol. I think it's going to come down to price. Another venue I emailed just got back to me with a pretty decent price for hiring the place and their recommended caterers are unbelievably reasonable, so that's another option. We'll just see what happens, I guess...!

I'm hoping Crystal Palace is nice and reasonable - it would be a good wedding pressie for h2b - a picture of us pitch side haha! x
