I'm furious with h2b as I spent ages organising next Friday with appointments, giving notice, menu trial, cake confirmation etc as we both had the day booked as annual leave. He announced yesterday I have to reschedule it all as his work want him to go to a meeting and he said yes to them. I told him to remind them he's on annual leave and that they have to reschedule as we've already got confirmed appointments and he won't. I can't get any more annual leave approved now at short notice, and if I take any more days it won't leave me with enough for the honeymoon!
I told him we are giving notice and if he can't make that date, there will be no wedding. It's only been so late already as he couldn't get the time off until now. I'm so angry I'm tempted to call his boss myself and slap him with employment law reminders of what the term annual leave means, and hold him personally responsible for possibly not being able to legally marry and slap him with the £17000 bill of what we've paid so far.
Sorry for the rant but I'm fuming.

we have been doing lots of wedding bits today, ive done some favor boxes,cut out some butterflies to scatter on the tables, looked for photo booth props to make, filled in our ceremony form for the registrar, emailed my chair cover suppliers with final numbers, bought a ring cushion, wrote down a list of to do's.
H2B has been painting more butterflies for out table names, he has done 8 now, so only 2 to go, they are beautiful :) he has done an amazing job :)

thats better my count down thing is right now :) oh its so exciting, only have 4 to officially r.s.v.p now, why cant people just do it on time, 2 i know are deffo coming anyway, just need meal choices and the other 2 im not sure of, they are my old bosses and they live in cyprus and come and go from this country to theirs and i am having trouble contacting them! im going by the principle they arnt coming at the mo as i thought its easier to add them on rather than take off and get money back. weddings are exhausting!

So annoyed; two weeks ago I emailed the wedding organiser at my venue to arrange a date for the final meeting; rehearsal and how they will be catering for one of my guests who is vegetarian (they said they would be happy to cater when we first asked) and a couple of days later I got an email saying Maria was currently away from office and how could she help. I confirmed my wedding day e.t.c and she said that I would have to wait for the general manager to come off leave on the 19th March as she would be able to assist me further so emailed again on the 19th; finally got a reply on the 20th asking me to confirm our wedding date (despite it already being in the original email) and now still waiting to hear from her... :(

I was in negotiation with the venue to re-book, and no sooner had we agreed another date, My H2b text me to say his work meeting is now cancelled. So I contacted them again apologizing for messing them around, and it's still going ahead this Friday now.
My work are all laughing at me as I was stressing and kept saying sorry for taking a few mins to get this sorted. I'm lucky my boss saw the funny side and is pleasant enough to have told me to sort it out. (He said he knows I won't concentrate until I stop worrying, so it was better to sort it, then have my 100% attention on my work after). I'm a training manager so organization is something I need to get right!

Hats off Teresa, You're diy-ing so much! We just don't have the time or energy! I'm very crafty and wanted to do lots myself, (I have an art and design degree) but h2b wouldn't let me, saying I'd end up killing myself to get it all done. In a way I'd love to do more than I have, but had to agree with him

My wedding coordinator finally got back to me though she didn't apologise for not letting me know where she was or the unnecessary stress...anyhow we have booked our final meeting for the 10th April :D So it will be a busy week as have my final dress fitting on the 7th April :D
Also had my first sun bed session today (I know the risks but it is only for 3 minutes a week in the run up to the wedding); it was kinda scary closing the door as the heat made me feel like I was going to pass out but all was ok; even got a bit of colour which I was expecting for my first one. :P

We've got all our RSVPs back for the day just awaiting menu choices from some. The RSVPs for the evening are actually the worse, the deadline was last Monday and we've only had 2 back! I did a spreadsheet of evening guests invited and sent it to my dad so they can chase people up. I'm so happy they are dealing with that for me.

Well things have really taken off in the last week:
- had hen do last weekend which was great - bridal party gifts ordered and received (only groom party left to sort) - favours all ordered - pre wedding shoot booked with photographer - h2b and dads have arranged a day to view the transport they've arranged (all a secret from me) - bridal & bridesmaid fitting done - final fittings arranged - post box bought, just needs to be made - hair & make up trial done, all booked for wedding day - bought veil & tiara
I have also emailed the lady whose doing our reception flowers to arrange seeing a centerpiece and also finalizing our venue dressing orders, but not heard back yet. Really trying to get through our to do list!

I've also done a draft table plan and we collected our wedding rings today. Trying to do at least 1 thing a day at the moment, may is slowly creeping up on us all.

Yes I'm the same, I would like to know as much as I can is done in the run up to the day, so all the little bits ticked off, I have the cake to make so need the last week to be free for that, oh I also need to dye my hair that week and have my nails and eyebrows sorted :) it's all so close, I'm really excited though, I'm just praying for sunshine.

all ive done wedding wise today is,buy some skipping ropes for the garden of our venue, so the children can be entertained lol! not very exciting!
oh and my bridesmaids shoes arrived, they are beautiful, and some bunting arrived that i ordered only a couple of days ago, thats beautiful too! so that was very exciting :)

I've been looking into hymns, music and readings on my lunch break today. Also have decided to try and make some bunting to go in front of us on the top table saying Mr & Mrs so whilst he was watching footie I was cutting out fabric flags!
Have also managed to rearrange our wedding rehearsal.

Had my wedding dress first alteration fitting yesterday and yippe the dress fit properly again!!! Last time I tried it my back/middle seemed to have got a bit big and it didn't want to zip up at the top, so a regime of planks and push ups and it worked phew!!! Now just have to keep up the work and healthy eating (for glowing skin aswell) So happy that I got to wear my dress and shoes again! Plus got my veil and sparkly hair slide yesterday too! If anyone has seen the hair combs and tiara in Debenhams and fancies them they're currently 20% in the blue cross sale. On a bit of a roll now and just need to keep it up for 8 weeks :-)

I paid off my venue today, so that should be it now for them :) just a few more bits to pay off and we are done yay! still got lots of little bits to do today and over next few weeks though.

I'm also hoping we get good weather Teresa. Everyone just seems so much happier when it's sunny outside :-) Cannot believe how close it is. Did the John Lewis Gift List zapping on Friday and finished half the wedding favours yesterday. Just need to try and finish them tonight so that's another thing ticked off the list. Eeeee so excited it feels like bubbles popping in my tummy hehe

Omg I'm so excited had email off florist yesterday to say that my flowers should be done by next week.
Feeling like I'm running out of time though what with working so much and having to chase my wedding coordinator in Kefalonia all the time.
Another couple who we invited text me other day and said they had booked to fly out for our wedding so that was a lovely surprise as did t think they would come.
Just feeling little stressed still though. Hoping with my hen do two weeks away tomorrow I might chill out then haha xxx

Exhausting day but so much done! Into central London at 9:30 this morning, bought shoes for all bridesmaids and flower girls. Entire page boy outfit bought including shoes. Dad and brothers suits bought. Bridesmaids had dress fitting done.
Squeezed in lunch at pl@net h0llyw00d. And my brother had a message put on the screens "congratulations to the soon to be Mr and Mrs Kafizas"
Crazy fun chaos, 15 people (including 6 kids). Finished up around 19:30, home around 20:30......will sleep well tonight!

I had my hen weekend this weekend,well spa day and night :)
it was really lovely, it was so relaxing and chilled,we got given bath robes, slippers and towels, we got to use the pool, sauna and jacuzzi, we had our own private room with tea and coffee and biscuits, we had a lovely lunch followed by procecco and strawberries, then we had some lovely spa treatments, i had a back, neck and shoulder massage with a mini facial, it was so relaxing, then we went back to our lodges we were staying in, we all sat round and chatted and had drinks, then got ready to go out in the evening for dinner, went to dinner, took ages though,then we went back to the lodges to play games, oh these were fun haha! we have some very interesting pictures, we all went to bed about 2.30 (yawn) then we got up in the morning and went for breakfast at 8.30, this was lovely :) after that we went back to pack and we loaded our bags into the car, then went for one last soft drink on the terrace overlooking a gold course, the sun was shining and it was really lovely, all my fiends got on really well and it was a wonderful weekend.

Bump for May brides! Wedding is 5 weeks today!! Had the most amazing fun time at my hen weekend there past, was completely overwhelmed with everything and the all the effort my bridesmaids put into it for me! It was a laugh a minute and I am just recovered, think I only slept about 5 hours the whole weekend! On Friday we went kayaking 6km down this peaceful tranquil river (with some rapids!) , with prosecco meeting us at the end. It was a glorious day the sun was shining. We had cocktails and party games on Friday evening. Saturday morning they had me booke din for a treatment of my choice at the hotel spa, so I had a foot and leg massage then a swim in the pool and relaxed in the jacuzi. We then went on a river walk, did a historic castle tour and had a picnic by the river and castle afterwards. That evening we had more party games and drinks before going out to dinner, with an amazing private room (Dowtown abbey style), then onto a club with free VIP entry and danced the night away. There were Mr & Mrs games, one of my bridesmaids had filmed my OH!! Also they all bought me a pair of knickers each and I had to guess who from (if i got it right had to drink a shot), also they had a jar with 'recipies for a successful marriage' and everyone had wrote their advice on a wooden spoon to put in. We all dressed in leather on the Saturday night (my OH and I are bikers - they were all in black and I had an amazing white leather dress).
I am having another little hen thingy on 2nd May for the older sensible ladies, having afternoon tea (with champagne option) at 2pm, it's kid friendly so my two little flowergirls will get to meet one another.
Feeling quite calm and organised so far! Only a few things left to do and DIY stuff. I started sorting through honeymoon clothes last night. Had a bit of a wobble a couple of weeks ago as my gym closed down so I started to panic about gaining weight, but I have started walking to and from work (7 miles a day) and eating uber carefully and actually loosing more than I did when I was at the gym!
My dress is almost completely finished by my dressmaker and seeing the final masterpiece on Saturday!! x
