Hey fellow May 2015 brides!! Not been on this since before Christmas! I can not believe how the last few months have flown and it's now 10 weeks and 6 days until our wedding! Trying not to stress too much but all of a sudden there seems to be lots to do! My head is swimming! I am getting my dress bespoke made and I will finally see it and try it on for the first time next Saturday, excited but nervous too! Can only go by a sketch from last September!
It's so good to come on here and share the excitement, I don't want to go on about wedding stuff to friends and colleagues for fear of boring them! lol x

Hey Leasa I will be on here a lot more often from now til the wedding! lol. I got so excited about my dress and just ordered my shoes (multicoloured rainbow glitter ballroom/dance shoes!) but when I told a few people there was no mutual excitement so I then felt a bit 'meh' but I'll just come here and do it instead! How are your plans going?

Yay! I love it when it all starts coming together.
Busy crazy weekend. Got the last of the invites out. Cake is now sorted!!! So is H2b's suit...finally.
Flowergirl dresses and memory photo posters arrived too.
Got a meeting with photographer soon, and menu tasting.
Totaled up running costs so far whoops, way over our initial budget but we are managing.

Hello to May brides! 10 weeks tomorrow for me! Scary sh*t!!
Invites should be ready on Friday, enquired about cake yesterday, had a pre-shoot with photographer on Saturday (still waiting to see them), centrepiece bits and bobs arriving, waiting on my shoes to arrive (my postman must me so pi**ed off with me lol), first dress fitting of my bespoke made dress this Saturday, the list goes on......!!
Leasa looks like things are going slightly over budget for us too!

Well done Amy, sounds like we're all roughly as "getting there" as each other.
On top of my above list, we've got a meeting with the church this Saturday, hair and makeup trial on the 26th and giving notice on the 27th. Also doing menu tasting on the 27th.
Saved some annual leave on purpose to get these done.

11 weeks tomorrow eeek! so soon. Think I have most things organized though. All the men are having their suit fittings tomorrow, BM's and me and make up trial following weekend. 2 weeks until my first dress fitting for alterations, can't wait to put it on again :-)
Need to get my evening invites out soon though, would help if I designed them and got more printer ink first though haha.
What's everyone got planned for the night before their wedding? I don't think I'll be able to sleep for excitement!!

I haven't been around for a while had so much on and have been stressing over our guest list. We got all our day invites sent out in January and have had fewer nos than expected so I started to panic we were going over numbers but things have evened out no. Actually sent the reserves out this week and all of our evening invites have gone out as well.
Things we've sorted over the last 2 months:
- bought all the wine for the tables and champagne for speeches - mens suits are sorted - dj all booked - cake sorted - glass hire sorted - bought flower girl gifts and some labelled socks for the grooms party (couldn't resist the little bridge and groom pics with their roles on them) - have been in talks with venue about timings, queries etc
Hoping to sort out our wedding rings tomorrow and the rest of the bridal party gifts. Then it's my dad's 60th b day party.
Things are going nicely at the moment, just the little things to tie up really and follow up bits with photographer etc.

completed 9 favor boxes and cut out butterflies for the table today
Kelv had painted his fourth butterfly for the table names today, it was the Adonis blue today, it looks amazing :)

Betcha all can't believe how close it is now.
I remember the feelings I had this close to the wedding. Really mixed emotions lol, excited, nervous and scared. Probably didn't help we were moving house too.

spoke to our videographer yesterday, she is lovely, seems to know what we want :) gave her a deposit, she wants to come earlier than expected and stay later, so its a win in for us :)
Ive also booked my make up and hair trial in for Friday so, ill be going to get that done and then trying on my dress and everything to see what it will look like :) oh i hope i like it!

yes, ive just sat and moved it all around, most have stayed where they are but we have had 1 person taken off as they have split up and another added as someone has a +1 and another 2 guests my H2B wanted to add , so needed a re jiggle, its hard when your not 100% sure who is gonna come and who might not!

Started chasing and people say "yes of course, didn't think I'd need to reply!!"
Had 9 so far not coming, but it's mainly partners of the important ones or they aren't bringing the kids.
That puts our rough total at about 98 people including us for the wedding breakfast if we get the rest of them reply.

it is quite stressful, i had miscounted and thought the total was now at 74 but when i did the table plan thingy on here, it came up as 73, i was like oh no! who have i missed, it turns out i had forgotten to take the one off that isnt coming now!

I haven't done a provisional one, but today is the day we asked for the reserves to reply so will get my dad to chase them this week (they are dealing with RSVPs) so should have the final numbers this week.
A bit annoyed about 1 tho, one of h2bs best mates has said no as he's over booked himself and is at another guys stag do on the easy of the wedding. We did give him the date last august for him to save but turns out he forgot - not happy.

Is it bad I'm feeling relief when we get rsvp's of "can't make it" and I feel glad that the numbers are reducing (and the cost)!
All the "important" people are coming and the no's are people we invited out of obligation. Our initial estimate was for 80 people but we invited 107 in total...at £73 per head I'm worried about going too far over.
The venue can take 120 but even if 90 come it'll cost us an extra £730 that we have to find...

I feel so late in the invites, we are only sending them this week (waiting on dried lavender to arrive any day now then we can crack on)!! By Friday at the latest and the RSVP date is 17th April, so gives people about 4 weeks, is this enough??!

Yeah I seem more annoyed about the double booking then h2b especially as they were swapping wedding dates to save (his mate is getting married in August - might book something else!)
I know what you mean leasa I was panicking as more people had said yes than we thought but since had some no's and ferlt a wave of relief. The cost does play a part as well as numbers but our main people are all coming. I don't think peopled think about the cost when they RSVP - one of h2bs cousins but there two young boys (under8) down for poached salmon instead of the child option. The salmon is over twice the price of their child option and those kids won't eat it! We had to ring and tell them they had tyok have the child option aes there was no choice for under 10s.
My hen do is the weekend so getting excited now!

had my hair and make up trial today, i love it, its lovely, my make up is nice and natural with lovely bold lips, which i love, my hair is just lots of lovely curls, pulled back to look gorgeous :) i felt beautiful.
