Hey guys I need some advice! I want our wedding theme to be grey and lavender but Matt has now decided he wants a green tie >.< he's being pretty adamant about it but I'm really not sure how I could make grey, lavender and green work! Help!

There doesn't have to be lots of green, why not use a dusky shade of green like sage green for his tie...and maybe tie it in with a bit of green in ur flowers?

you could easily hun, grey and green work and lavendar and green work, so you could combine the 3! maybe add just a few touches of green here and there? xxx

oh I like that - I was going to have green in my flowers anyway but my bridesmaids are having grey dresses hence the worry with the green tie.
Can you add green sashes to the BM dresses? Or have ribbons of each colour on their bouquets? Or would he have a grey or lavender hankie in his pocket showing, to make everything blend together?

Im doing ivory, lavender and green....and i did almost do grey...in fact it was that picture of the bouquet above that inspired our theme. I think it will look lovely (i hope so cos its a bit late for me to change now lol!)
You don't have to have much of it....im having mostly ivory and green with just dashes of purple in the flowers and bunting...maybe you could just add splashes of green rather than making it a big part of the day

Like the others have mentioned green would work really well as an accent color. Could he try some colors on to see what works best? you never know he may look better in one color over another.

My bridesmaids wore purple, they had purple ribbon on their flowers, my husband and the men wore green ties, I tied the green in with myself, shoes and ribbon on the flowers. It can work

Thanks for all the tips and tricks :) I think we've managed to agree on him having a lavender/lilac tie and the groomsmen having silver ties if it looks okay. If not we'll go in a different direction with it :)

Well, I had to be supervised when I chose my tie (colour blind), so I stayed out of the way when it came to colours. But ours are ivory and royal blue - and my tie is sun yellow, as are the buttonholes!

haha! Sounds like it'll look lovely Clive!

You should have seen the suit I first chose - electric blue with shawl lapels - I was promptly told that I looked like a gay DJ! :-)

hahaha! Now that I would pay to see! I bet the DJ my venue gives me turns out to be wearing flares and platforms..
