Hi guys I was wondering if any of you are good at maths? I need to work out how the hell to add a log10 into the calculator so I can work out what log10 82.29 / log10 110 is. I have no idea how to do this on the calculator and the h2b is out. I can't make heads or tails of what google has given me either. If anyone has a clue what I'm on about please help! This is the last question to me finishing my course and I want to get it out the way so I can start my new one. :(

Does it have to be done by calculator?

I wouldn't have a clue how to do it in my head. To be honest the whole logarithm is way over my tired little head and I've just found the formula in the book and adapted it to the figures I have. It says use the calculator to work it out so I figure its not something you can easily work out as what ever I have tried doesn't give me the answer that they have in the book! I may just skip the next two answers as I've managed to get all the others done and I know I have enough right to pass. It would be nice just for my own piece of mind to know how its done though in case it ever does come back to bite me on the bum.

Does your calculator have a log button?

It does but I can't get it to get the answers they have in the book so I know I'm not using it how it should be used. I don't have a manual with the calculator as its old (from school days) and all the stuff I have read on google so far isn't helping. At least I have UK bride until the h2b comes home to save the day. Speaking of which I'm starving and he is bring dinner home. I hope he turns up soon! Thanks for trying to help x x

Try finding the log of the first number, the log of the second number, and then dividing them (sorry haven't got a calculator here!)
