Traditionally, who gets matching suits? I thought it was just the groom, best man and father of the bride. (We aren't having any ushers)Should father of the groom get one as well as he is on the top table?

i am not sure what tradition is for this I am afraid, but i would have said if he at the top table, and you want a nice uniformed look then yes.

i don't know how i'm going to get ours all matching as best man lives in america and is rather big (extremley tall nearing 7 foot and big build too) so he'll need it fitting for sure. if he can't get over here in time to get it done he might not be matching :(
i would have all the males wearing same personally but i think my oh has other plans :/

We're having the groom, best man, 2 ushers, my dad and H2B mums bf in suits. Some places, like Debenhams will do a deal where the groom goes free if you buy so many suits. My H2B wanted to be slightly different, so he's having a silver waistcoat and purple cravat then the rest are having a purple waistcoat and silver cravat, just to make him stand out a bit. Its kind of worked out well cos the bm's are in purple dresses and I wasn't sure what colour shoes to get for them, but there is so much choice of silver so I'm going for that!

Sorry, was also going to say. My dad and ushers live at the other end of the country, so we're just getting measurements for them and the shop are ordering the suits by that.

We're hired suits for the best man, usher, fob and fog. We bought h2b's suit but it is exactly the same as the ones we've hired. H2B has a dark red waistcoat and cravat and the others have ivory waistcoats and cravats.

I want all the wedding party men in matching suits, but H2B's dad has kicked off big time about having to hire his. H2B's parents have offered to pay for nothing at all, and the one thing we asked for him to hire his own suit, and he's kicking off about it.
So I don't know what we're going to do :(
