I just have a few questions about them...

    1) How do I get a marriage liscense?

    2) How much do they cost

    3) How long do you need to have one before getting married?

You can't give notice until a year before your wedding date so if you get married on the 17th sept next year you wouldn't have been able to give notice until Sept 17th of this year. I think you can leave it until about two weeks before you are due to get married but I would never leave it that late! Ask your registry office if you can pre book an appointment to go and see them once your year is due and they will sort everything else out for you. The prices the girls have quoted are the legal prices that you get charged but they will go up next year with the VAT and annual price hike. The marriage certificate is currently £3.50.
