The problem i have is i or any one i know dont own land big enough to do this. Has anybody else had this problem or got any suggestions

you could always ask some local farmers or land owners if you can rent their land! write a nice letter to send out

I No! I Now! I Know!!!!!
I am NOW MRS LONSDALE!!
We was gonna have one, but was a little worried about the weather... the last two Junes have been lovely, but you can never tell.. even july and aug last year was really bad.. so we opted for the tradional place to have our reception..
but what Emsy said is a good idea.. xx

We were going to do this too, but encountered the same problem, no where to put it. We could have squeezed one in our back garden, just, but it would have looked a bit silly I think! It depends on where you live as there are some companies that can help you find suitable land to use, otherwise some farmers might let you use some land for a small fee, just takes some work to find it. We weren't so lucky where we are but hiring a hall instead now and it will look just as nice when I am done with it, lol. Good luck searching! x
Finally reunited with the love of my life
Never to part again
This Saturday I will finally be Mrs Codling!
Hi All, Thanks for your replys, We thought about a farmers field but dont really like the idea of porta loos, iv been phoning around and are waiting on a few phonecalls back but so far the best seems to be tennis world as they would put the marquee up on the grass and we would also hire the room to use the bar and toilets but if the weater is bad then we can all go inside. Also going to try the two local cricket clubs but have been unable to get an answer from calling them. Really hope i can get some where this week as i have booked the church now and just want them two things out of the way.
Thanks girls and Good Luck xxx

Hey Joanne we are having a marquee, we are using some grassed area ona local farm. It can work out expensive though. Our Marquee, tables, dancefloor, chairs, and used coconut matting flooring along with luxury portaloos(nothing like the blue ones you see about) came in at £4336, then we need to hire a generator which is another £500 on top.
Hope you manage to sort it as i love the whole marquee idea and you can make them really personal, good luck. Xx

What are you doing about a bar?
CommentAuthordee
We are using a bar from ipswich, they are a mobile bar service with a fully complimented bar and a cocktail bar, they supply bar staff and clear up glasses too. They don't charge as long as they make over £500 in sales, thats not profit. . they said they haven't charged in years. If you want more info i will put info on your wall. x

I saw the porta-loos Kerry catona had for her birthday party on her show 2 weeks ago and they were like proper toilets, looked really nice. I think it is really expensive, is there nowhere else nearby that have their own marquee? like a pub in a local village? The venue I am looking at told me they are looking to get a marquee for 2012 so we might be the 1st to use it, exciting stuff- if we can afford it lol xx
