    Hello ladies :)

So we have a quote for a local Marquee company- (may 31st 2014)
for 160 people evening do, and 100 seated in the day.

Fairylights over dining area, starlight over dancefloor.
seperate bar area and 5m walkway.
with luxury toilet block and generator.

We will be paying cash and have been quoted 3.5k
Is this a good deal or is there some bridal haggling to be done?

If you're paying cash, try and get him to put carpet down as well. Then you may be doing OK.

I very much doubt it. That'll be down to the caterers I'm certain... even so, try and get him down to 2275 - if no, then 3K. But you need to find out exactly what you're getting.

Everything we can think of is included, just unsure about cloths as we are having hog roast and buffet instead of hiring caterers.
    2275?!
are you a professional haggler? lol

haha we were sent an itemised invoice, and then the 3.5 without the 20% vat-
he said thats the best price if were paying by cash as it just takes the vat off.

Tables and chairs provided, round tables and wooden chairs with seat pads.

cutlery no, we are doing our own food and have already bought all the disposables!

Im scared - this will be the first thing we have haggled lol> x

Even if they provide tablecloths, still get them down. just remind them that 3k n cash is a rare commodity these days. I forgot to ask, is it a midweek wedding? If so, get him down even more! If no cloths, start at £2275 and work up. You'll have £250 to play with that way.

Carla, I'll haggle with you anytime! ;o)))))

Well, you're heading in the right direction then. Did the others give a reason why they are nearly twice the price?

One of them was Danco- who are always mad with weddings lol
And the other was county marquees- which are beautiful - i guess in some ways you get what you pay for.

This company did a marquee for my friends wedding 2 years ago and are the most local.
    2.800 Would be perfect.
