    Hi Ladies,

So after months of not knowing what to do, umming and arring over whether to even have a Hen Do, I have decided I am going to go to Manchester to see my best friend from school with my BM's and close friends (I live in Essex so a good 4 hr drive), get the train, drink all the way and then....... I'm stuck !! haha. Any good ideas of what there is to do there ? good activities, bars, restaurants etc ? All ideas welcome !! My OH is off to Magaluf so need something fun but not trashy, good food, good drink and good laughs ! that's all I want

    L x

Tiger Tiger is good hun, near the Printworks (there is a themed Groovy Wonderland room - but dont know if thats your thing?) You can also do Karaoke in there in your own private room. Ive done the Karaoke twice and loved it even tho I cannot sing a note without smashing windows!! haha!! After a few drinks its really fun and plus you are in your own private little room so only sharing your lovely singing voice with your mates hehe! You get few microphones so you dont even need to sing on your own xxx

Yeah loads of places, what kind of music or food do you like? I think mine will be in Manchester as its my home town and a lot of my friends won't travel to another place or can't come in the day but can at night and vice versa x x

it depends what your into really, a couple of girls have mentioned deansgate locks and tiger tiger, i absolutely hate those places, but the thing about manchester is there's plenty places for all types of music and whatver yoiure into, im there this weekend, we were going to book a room at K2 kareoke bar, but i wasnt keen due to it being so close to xmas, but you can have a room for a couple hours then theres a club there as well thats open to the early hours. I tend to stick to the alternative bars in manchester, Fab cafe has a TARDIS and other tv related things, as does the place next door. Then there's the gay village which is also a good night out!

Obviously that might not be your thing, but there is quite alot to do. You could go for a spa, do afternoon tea at one of the little quirky cafes and cocktail classed. Theres that chill factore place near the trafford centre, which is also worth a visit if youre there more than a day or two. it has an arcadey bit with bowling, bars loads of places to eat, and of course all the shopping too!

Manchester museum and the museum of science and industry are free to get into, i love them but well, that might not be hen material, but they are free haha! And you can ride the steam train and see where corrie is filmed lol.
It really does depend on what you are into though, there's loads of bars/clubs etc

Thanks for all your ideas ladies !

I really do think I just want a laugh, karaoke bar sounds good fun, after a few I know I will think Im AMZEBALLS ! We are defo going to go out for a meal, I like ALL food. I have been to printowrks before and loved it so maybe it will be bst to stick around that area...

I really do like quite a varietyof music but Im more interested in the cocktails and having fun, so karaoke bar sounds perfect for this. Maybe during the day we can do a spa day and a spot of shopping.

Getting excited now, was a little worried as I really wasnt up for a hen do at all but now Im starting to get excited...

    xx

    Lynsey xx

red hot buffet is good, though being an all you can eat, if youre out like me you stuff yourself til you pop and then just want to go to sleep haha, theres a place called the room its a bit swankier than printworks they do dinner time deals - it is a bit expensive, but its cool, i think the dinner time deal when i went was £16.00.

That kareoke disco bar is called K2 so just give it a google see what you think :) as long as you spend as much on drink or more as the room hire is worth, you dont end up actually having to pay for the room itself, you just have to pay a deposit, which they put behind the bar. I think the rest is payable on the evening, but again, that goes behind the bar til youve drunk upto the value :)

The birdcage is a big hen night destination. Canal Street also has a few hen parties there. Tiger Tiger is always packed, so put your name on the guest list (not that they take any notice of that half the time, but that's another matter). Manchester is notorious for deciding your face doesn't fit, so you won't get in - luckily there are lots of places if this does happen.
